What did you do to your subaru today?

Got a new muffler welded on, washed it, put better wheels on for this weekend Oh, and drifted on some gravel roads.

 

Just got them yesterday and they are made in India

 

Its just a stock looking OLD STYLE (pre 2002) key with a green LED in it.

 

Yesterday I swapped over my moms wheels to 06 WRX wheels w/ all seasons so I could get Hakkas mounted on the stock Legacy wheels. I also got my new Hakkas mounted on my RS 6spokes.

I washed her and made her all shiny for the DaRoof Cruise.

I drove through a little bit of mud trying to get mine dirty for the Duluth cruise.

I also swapped out my summer wheel/tire setup for my winter and then got an alignment. My camber was the same but I had some wicked toe in from not getting the tie rod ends quite right when I put the steering rack back together. That is why I smoked through my front Azenis 615s in about 4 weeks.

I kicked all three of them. The one on jackstands kinda leaned a bit so i stopped. Then I kick the honda twice. stupid subarus. stupid crappy weather. Then I got a call about some heated rental shop space. So now I'm happy.

 

filled it up with e85 and wiped the dash first time in 2 yrs

 

drove it like rich stole it at the ice races today.

 

finally got the car back together and moving under its own power since the timing belt broke back in july.

wow i forgot how much fun it is to drive a car with power!

Loaded it up with oldsmobile body parts, tiny interior is tiny!

 

Painted tow hooks orange, put on little yellow 'tow' arrows, installed 2 metal fire extinguisher brackets, cut a sheet of aluminum to cover opening between back seat and trunk and moved sub strap so Vector can have more children. Still have to finish hood pin installation and pack car for LSPR.

yep. turns out the engine wasnt as bad of as i thought. the t-belt went. at the same time i had tapped a parking berm and thought i cracked the oil pan since there was so much oil under the car. turns out the oil pump was leaking and the crank seal was shot. cam seals were bad too, they were rock hard.

drove it around today and it ran awesome. too bad it gets 17 mpg (on premium) and has a leaky fuel filler neck so i cant fill the car above 1/2.

 

Yes, driving the Legacy. Considering I drive 3 hrs each way to rallycrosses, it should be o.k., Gotta drive 00 like I'm driving it home, cause I am. Would still like to lube the struts before I leave.

I installed my snows.... just dont trust teh weather reports this week and being such early snows etc.. the other day caused all the morons to come out of the woodwork on the roads, and I am not looking forward to an icy or snowy commute to Dunwoody each day on 35profile tires

 

Put on some Bridgestone WS-60s. I put on a Cosworth HD Oil Pan and baffles.

 

Got my winter tires put on this morning, went with Nitto NTSN2's

 

Pulled the snow mobile out of storage!

Picked her up from the body shop, thanks to Tony giving me a ride. Ahhh, it feels so much better having her back!

 

Got some sweet amber marker lights, JDM YO.

 

Installed my supertones, I put the inline fuse and relay in the fuse box that is right behind the battery. Looks nice with one wire running from the battery to the fuse box and two wires running out of the fuse box.

 

used alot of gas trying to figure out if the P&L is worth it...

 

i have all the stuff to do this, now i just need to get off my butt and do it.

 

Installed a grainger BCS.

 

So, is it? Or is more fuel required? :biggrin:

Drove to work this morning and crushed yet another squirrel. What is the deal with them! He would have made it across but at the last second he decided to turn around and run back. Im just glad I got him with the front and rear tires. No suffering there. RIP
