spilled coffee in it, blaming it on the 2004's OG harsh ride qualities and hwy94's mountainous expansion joint failure bumps between mpls and st paul.

    black pants ftw today

Put new remanu'd calipers, new rotors, and new pads on all 4 corners of the Forster and bled the system until all the fluid was new.

Still getting a little scraping noise on the back pass side, but I can't imagine what's left back there to make noise short of a wheel bearing.

    First thing I checked. ;)

idk, it was pretty slight and intermittent, and lessened over the first drive, so we'll see maybe it'll just go away ... (crosses fingers..)

Wait, what? I didn't get you anything! :ugh:

I drove the crap out of it. Enjoyed the new 20mm RSB even with snow tires. lol

Not to the subaru, but I changed a lower radiator hose in my girlfriend's Alero in the parking lot of UMD with only a floral patterned pliers.

Drove it for the first time in 3 months.

Slight misfire with CEL and flashing cruise indicator. Probably the OCV. I'll have to datalog it tomorrow.

Hopefully I'll get it sorted and prepped this week to be tuned next week. Kind of weirded out that it still won't run with the larger injectors....

I opened up my STI axleback and removed the loose and rattling baffles in there. I didn't go as extreme as Sheen did, (http://mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?31071-DIY-gutted-STi-axleback) I left the resonated pipe on the bottom intact and I tried to cut as little as possible. I'm anxious to hear what it'll sound like. I just need to find a way to get it welded back up now. I made the cuts next to the "walls" in the muffler, so hopefully most of it'll weld up a bit better with more metal there. Otherwise, my dad is saying that brazing it is the way to go to seal it back up

Datalogged it. Cylinder 3 shows some misfiring at idle and low rpm. Passenger side showed < 4 degrees VVT advance angle at all rpm, always substantially below the VVT advance angle of the driver's side. Replaced the passenger side OCV and got better, but datalog still shows some cylinder 3 misfires at idle and low rpm. CEL and flashing cruise on again, with a P0546 trouble code. built a map disabling codes related to oxygen and catalytic converter sensors since these are for the most part gone.

I'll try some injector cleaner tomorrow and hope the misfire is injector related.

I installed an intake snorkus delete (noticed very little difference in sound, nothing in power, not a surprise) and a Primitive front skid plate. I started on the rear but I need to get a different 17mm wrench/socket to get at the rear diff mount bolts (any suggestions here?).

Oh yeah, I've been eyeing up the Team Dynamics and Braid rally wheels at Team Illuminata...yay tax return!

ratcheting wrenches are awesome for the side bolts, although you can do it with a regular box wrench, it just takes forever. Deep socket on the back.

I got those started with a socket + ratchet, they would have come out pretty easy had I taken them all the way out (I wanted to make sure I could get the rears out). Looks like I'll be making a trip to Sear's this weekend. Thanks for the tip!

I would recommend getting the ones with the angled head, I have the flat gearwrench ones and i have trouble getting them into tight spaces sometimes.

Also I ordered some hella 4000 compacts and 500 fogs along with a inner fender liner to get ready for the Keweenaw Winter Rally next weekend.

Got my winter tires mounted just in time for spring lol.

Cleaned out the throttle body and iacv while zisson33 swapped in new rotors. Also, raised the front ride height half an inch or so.

Hopefully tuesday I'll have the parts I need to swap the suspension back to stock and fix the front ball joints.

Had my subi out snowmobiling this weekend. The snow was hard enough to stay on top of until I broke though and got stuck in over 2 feet of snow lol. Best part was the Navigator that pulled me out had trouble getting to my car and had an even tougher time pulling it out. After a half hour of shoveling and several good tugs of the tow strap I was back up and snowmocaring.
