I was trying to turn around cause backing up just pulled me further into the ditch.

I got stuck going straight, then spent the night digging it out/turning it part way around, then it got light out and I could take pics with my cell phone.

I was thinking about that scene, I don't think i could move that much though, i was really high centered across the road. Using a heavy duty ratchet strap and 2 tow straps to a tree, i pulled the car the rest of the way around and was able to drive back.

Wow yeah that's really stuck, I'm glad you got out ok. But, getting stuck going in a straight line? I'm glad I've never done anything like that... :hsugh:

Luckily though, I had help getting pulled out.

Just had the oil cooler installed. I'll try and get some pics tomorrow. The hoses are a bit more, um, obvious than I thought they'd be. Also got the other two sensors hooked up so all three gauges are now working. I had no idea how much the oil pressure goes up and down as you drive around. I guess you learn something new every day.

ugh....took out the lower rear seat , and passenger seat , removed the felt/cushion stuff from under the rear carpet so it would dry out...guess pouring frebreze on the stinky spot where my 2 yo spilled milk is going to be harder to get rid of then i thought...and pouring frebreze on it only made the funk worse , for now i have the carpet propped up to help the frebreze dry , windows are part open , washed the floor/metal off , i hope the funky smell will be gone when it is dry , if not i will have to shampoo the carpet , or get a replacement , funky carpet ftl....

**for those of you with kids take note , always watch where they throw there bottle....

this is so frustrating , anyone have any exp. with getting carpet cleaned in a car.....did it smell fresh/clean when done , thanks for any input

Pull the carpet all the way out. Then steam-clean it. That's about the only way to really clean it.

(I used to detail vehicles traded in to a small town dealership. [farmers are some of the dirtiest people in the world!!!])

do you know of anywhere could i get it done , oh and on a saturday , i would have to work on it after work the rest of the week and then have it cleaned on saturday

oh and it is just isolated in the 2'x2' area under the passenger rear seat, could they do it with the carpet still in? they would have alot of room with the seats out , i still have the smell in my nose and i have a cold..ugh

Pieced together and swapped stock suspension in, took coilovers out. Swapped in a new outer tie rod (thanks Morries Mtka and thunderdan!). Swapped in the stock airbox and swapped out the cold air intake (thanks BBsRS!). No more clunk, and no more high idle CEL. Gonna have to do wheel bearings, pads, and oil change this weekend or next, then time to shop for a motor swap :)

Got the sti muffler welded up and back on the car. No pictures of the welding, sorry. Brazing didn't work, the aluminized coating on the metal might have been causing problems, but it didn't flow well. A filler rod had to be used with the wirefeed, so the welding doesn't look too pretty. I think the best method would have been to cut off the "flap" and just put a patch over the hole.

But, it's back on the car. The only difference I can tell in the sound is that it no longer rattles. It doesn't sound any louder. So, if you want to make the muffler louder, you have to cut into the resonated pipe on the bottom.

I'm perfectly happy with it though. Just enough rumble and my car sure runs better with the STI muffler than with the stock wrx muffler.

Detailed the interior of the car (winter detail, not as good as a spring/summer detail)

Took my car to Jeff the alignment guy, he is quite the character who really knows his stuff. he originally quoted me 70 and ended up charging me 45 because doing a stock Subaru is pretty quick. I'm totally sold and plan frequenting him again, my car handles with newfound response. he also gave us some reading material for restoration of our 66' chevy truck.

I did too this morning, but Mister Carwash did a decent job of turning Brown Sonja back into Red Sonja, after having an awesome time at the Thin Ice Rally-X.
