I painted the chrome bit on the back of my 09 impreza with headlight tint, only to have the rain wash it away :( Anyone have tips for painting chrome black?

Got some STI struts installed @ Dave's garage today, and took some STI skirts off his hands too! They look SO much better than the unpainted stockers.

For the last 2 days i've had my whole motor apart.

Doing an HTA68, GrimmSpeed ewg up pipe, fuel pump, injectors, tgv deletes, ported manifods, new plugs, radiators, GrimmSpeed thermostat, GrimmSpeed cross pipe, inlet, intake.

I'm sure there's more but i can't remember everything right now.

Well your front tire looks a bit flat... :)

I agree about the fit and filling out the wells, but they are a bit to empty for me. I am partial to rims with more fill to them. My vote is get something different. Size is good though...

hard wired my radar detector in. it turned out pretty good. i mounted the detector up above my rear view. i then took apart the "smart cord" for my passport 8500. cut the red LED off the circuit board. soldered it to a wire. mounted it up by my gauges and i mounted the mute button right by my shifter for easy access. it works great and you can barely see where the LED is by my gauges. you would really have to look for it.

    Oooh. Looks good, Nate!

I also decided to finally wash the RS after realizing the rain wasn't going to get it clean:

Polished, waxed, and sealed the lgt.

Deleted the rear wiper motor and arm then drove the 911 for the first time since November.

It started as "I should warm it up, change the oil, and start pulling the bumpers and exhaust..."

Which turned into "well, I should just burn off this winter gas/stabil in the tank..."

Which then turned into "Well, that tank went fast, maybe I should fill up and burn off a little more..."

Which ended in "holy crap it's past dinner time!"

Having watched how it's done one time by someone who knows was enough for me. I was hesitant to try it all by myself without that experience. Even got a different nut since one was missing. Lesson learned, you need scooby strut spacers when installing dspecs in Group N top hats. ;)

I'll pick up those rear top hats at the next rallyx.

^^^Subarus look just as good taken apart as they do all put together. I also took my subaru apart today to tint the windows, paint the chrome bits on the bumpers, and tint the tail lights. Good day to be a Subaru!

After a full day of tinting with my buddies we finally got our rough draft of tinting on! IT looks pretty good, a few mishaps here and there but we're planning on perfecting it when it is a little warmer. First out of a line up of things on the to do list for my Subaru! Interior lights coming next, exhaust in the summer and other misc. things along the way!

It's not what you do to your Subaru, it's what your Subaru does to you.
