Today I tinted my tails! I'll probably post pictures of them on my Legacy whenever I get around to it but they are sitting in my garage drying for now! I promise they aren't as dark as they look. Forgive the crappy phone picture!

i adjusted my e-brake so i dont have to pull it 17 clicks for it to engage!

 

Haha the cans a little lighter but ya there's enough to do two or more cars' tails/headers I'm guessing

Ugh... Why do people still do this? This is why they have Laminx!!! Dont get me wrong, Ive done this to many lights in my day, hopefully u prepped them very good and cleared them afterward (if not they will flake and/or fade)
Sorry to flame, but as an ex VW guy, Ive just seen too many bad lamp tint jobs...
BTW, Chris (Flawless Frontends) does awesome tint and Laminx jobs

However - just keep in mind if you get rear-ended anytime in the future you're automatically on the hook for at least 50% responsibility now rather than 0%.

 

I prepped em as best I could. They seem to look pretty good to me! I don't know you be the judge. If it starts to deteriorate its an easy fix so it's not a big deal. We'll see how it turns out.

 

took off my winter wheels. i forgot how much of a difference good wheels make. i love my summers. also took off snowboard rack and ran through the car wash.

 

armor all'd the interior. shined up the tires. and i also tinted my tail lights... i think it looks pretty good with my black wheels. now i just need to get my windows tinted.

i wasn't too thrilled on the chrome looking stock lights on my car. i've used spray tint in the past. never really had any problems. it started to kinda fade after about 2 years, that's all. and i stripped it off my last car with goo off when i sold it. it couldn't have been easier.

here's a picture as the sun was going down so it looks pretty dark.

 

Disconnected my shifter linkage, removed tranny support (replaced it with a jack), took off exhaust from the heads on back, and disconnected my axles...Motor should be our tomorrow! Then the rebuilding process begins

I swapped the air filter out on the Forester last nice. The new one has less element in it. Seems kinda wierd.

Also, I'm wondering if the airbox has some sort of charcoal filter in it as part of the PZEV or what is that and why is it there?

Took off my turbo inlet. Found a huge slit on the under side of the inlet. I guess it's time to upgrade.

Finishing up more of the carbon fiber overlay on some pieces.

I found this and then found a new matching one. tenis ball adds 5+ HP

 

I went out and bought some blue paint, and some sandpaper. I then found all of my cans of purple metalcast, and my summers. I will report back with the results.

Put on my perrin rear sway bar and then pushed my motor-less car outa the garage. At least now I can push it around the corners faster haha

 

My fall attempted at dealing with driver side seat rail rust failed. I hope my spring attempt with drill mounted steel brush, rust removal gel, self etching primer and shiny black wheel paint is more successful. At least for more than one season. Cleaned the carpet while I had the seats out.

35w going south from Minneapolis to 62 going west towards Eden Prairie, in all that road construction, theres like a freekin' jump on the highway, no joke!

 

Turned the boost up to 16psi and did some tuning. I never knew my ej18 could throw me back into the seat. Thanks to the local Holiday and Quik Trip stations for providing the E85.

 

i know that spot and i caught air last night had a buddy passed out in the back. watching his head nail the roof was one of the funny thign i have seen. it really good if your in the left lane.

 

ordered summer tires for it going on my new bb's wheels.

 

had the bike on top and took a pic. Now I just gotta get those snow tires off

 

sat by it and listened to music on my front deck drinking beer. twas a great day in Grand Forks

Ha, we just hit that tonight too. Although, I don't think we were going fast enough to get off the ground, but it is quite the bump. I did make a comment to my wife that it would be fun going just a bit faster over that.

 

Swapped out the KSport coilovers for 03 suspension with Progress springs with KYB shocks. Smoother ride while still being sporty. My kidneys, fillings and wife are happy.

fired it up for the first time since the turbo swap started...and it fires right up..now to get it down off the jacks and get some boost going...
