What did you do to your subaru today?

They do work great. I have used them on two of my used cars. congrats on the new WRX

 

Yesterday and today I spent 18, yes 18 hours on my car. I started off thinking I had a bad Throw out bearing, so I thought I would bite the bullet and just do it myself. It took me 12 hours to get the transmission out of the car with all the fun things that could go wrong and did go wrong. After I finally go the motor separated from the tranny and got the half shafts out I thought I was in good shape. Next thing I know I take out the old and get ready for the new. Wait, its not the same. O'reillys gave me the wrong TOB so today I was on the search for a new one. NAPA - No, O'reillys - No, All dealerships closed. Normally I would have said that was ok and needed a break anyway but I had to come back to school tonight. GREAT. So, I got a TOB from Bielke today and it took me about 6 hours to put everything back together. So now Im done and the best part... it still makes a noise

Thanks! I actually did this inside the garage with poor lighting (I know, what an idiot...) and actually did not do as good a job as I thought I had Will have to have another go at it!

Very nice, Jesse! I thought you were only all about the dirt? Seemed like a good run, nonetheless. And stage 2 looks tasty!! You change anything on the suspension?

 

thanks, I am all about the dirt, this was at my school, so i had to do it, it was fun even lacking the dirt. Front anti-sway bar is removed to get some oversteer, which causes extra roll in autox, otherwise stock suspension.

I'm tuning it myself, kind of scary, but fun to have that much control of the engine.

 

got summer tyres put on and forgot what a good tyre feels like to drive on

replaced this cussin hunk for junk on friday it was bent in 5places and was cause the +2camber in my rear. i will never replace it again i will cussin pay a shop to replace it next time. thanks to sheen and joel(prezawagon) would not of got that done with out you.

love the hids the bulb on the left(driverside) is silverstar ultra bulb ont he right(passangerside) is the DDM 35W 5K HID. all i have to do now is steal TonyMs HID Fogs he has when hes not looking.

 

ah, now i see what you're talking about - it is completely 100% different than an impreza which is why I was so confused when you called. impreza lateral arm is a completely separate piece from the upright

 

replaced an o2 and messed with my coil overs.

 

Nothing exciting but I noticed when I got home today it was at exactly 64,000 (trouble free)miles.

installed rallitek front and rear sway bars and endlinks. super thick.

 

I have their rear sway bar, absolutely love it. Takes clover leafs at 45 without losing grip.

Finally put in the front doors that have been off for about two months who knew door handles could be such a luxury

 

Ordered some suspension bling from TurninConcepts today. Should be here soon... : )

 

just finished up spark plugs, seems the whole they're gapped from the factory theory is garbage. All four were gapped in the 40's.

 

just got my Omori boost gauge in the mail! woot!

 

ordered up 4 new tires seeing one blew out this morning.. so much for getting another summer out of them ha ah

Put a JNA front lip on a couple days ago. Tonight I will be taking the old paint off my wheels to bring the to my dad and have them powder coated tomorrow ( I promise you they will not look like anybody else's wheels). Then get the tires back on tomorrow so I don't have to drive around on my winter tires at all.

 

I installed his horns, restored the hood, and almost lost his other hood pin lol

ordered some parts: K&N Drop in filter (amazon had it for under $30 new, $10 more than OEM Subaru)

plan on doing some maintence and check-up on the brakes tonight. Which means I get to buy a troque wrench! and since I am there I will buy some washing and waxing supplies... for my second wax job of the spring!

 

I had this old front lip sitting around in my friends garage that i used to have on my old Ford Focus. i think it turned out pretty good.

 

Removed snorkus, I'm likin' the new soundtrack!

 

I installed Tokico D-specs with SPT springs and Group N tophats, all new hardware and had the car aligned

 

I'm going to give it a bath and clean the interior.

 

Nothing planned today but Sheen did give our forester a good detailing yesterday, it feels like having a new car again. Gotta get my car done now.

 

Haven't had a chance to install yet, but the new suspension bling showed up in the mail the other day. The machining is ridiculous! :yumyum:

I just swapped catbacks with Moleness today.

Oh yeah, and lost my EGT bung plug out of my catless up yesterday. But that wasn't planned. Now I have a gigantic exhaust leak in the front (not in the catback, though!).

 

Haha, that is catback number...6 for me! I finally got a chance to sit and count, lol.

 

I just got done... clay bar... polish... wax... wheel cleaner... my arm hurts.

 

Get rid of those hideous winter wipers!!!
