Get some class. Have you ever listened to some orchestra music while tearing up a canyon road? Doubtful. I have. And the music fit the road.
Seriously, class. You have no idea and it is probably too big to explain to you. Composers from the past had to put lots of time, effort and passion into music because it would take them years to complete one song. Unlike alot of today's musicians who just slap crap together, or alot of the brainless electronic music that has no depth...not saying there isnt' good music and good electronic music today, but there is so much crap to sift through. Classical music tends to be very good most of the time because there was alot of heart and soul involved in it and alot of time was spent on it. And because it didn't make big bucks, most of the people making the music did it because they loved music not money.
There is a very famous woman opera singer and I don't know who she is. Very, Very old song but I cant explain it cause 1) don't know who it is 2) don't understand the language it's in and 3) forget the two movie names that I know its in. Its a very beautiful song. It might actually be in the movie Boondock Saints.
That is probably carmen ... I think it was the opera music also used in GTA3. I think it was in the Godfather, as well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmen I guess the GTA3 soundtrack used other songs ... yay for wiki, you might find the ones you're looking for here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Theft_Auto_III_soundtrack#Double_Clef_FM I do have to say that most opera sounds the same when it's a female singing
Very true! ^ I'm at work so I am unable to listen to any samples But thanks for the link. It may help my quest to find what/who I'm looking for! I love opera metal! I very into Therion at the moment. It's all I want to listen to in my car!
Either the stereo off so i can hear the motor/trans/suspension work or my iPod driving playlist (Metallica, Slipknot, Slayer, KMFDM, BLS etc....)
yeah well perhaps maybe before you assume i know nothing about class perhaps i should tell you im a big fan of the opera...in fact just a few months ago i went to an opera at Carnegie Hall in New York. i go whenever i get the chance...but what i don't do is listen to it while driving...for me i need something that pumps me up not calms me down. my favorite classical composer btw is Wolfgang Mozart
It is nice to finally see a post from you that isn't full of "LAWLZ" And Mozart is ok, a little overrated ... but ok. I like Bach myself.
Skip to about 3:30 and imagine yourself sitting at a light. 3:40 comes up and you're rounding the cloverleaf onto the freeway in the middle of second gear. BAM 3:46 hits and you're in the boost. I only enjoy this song from 3:40-4:30
i may be all LAWLZ and stuff on this thread hahaha (maybe many of the threads im apart of) i just like acting like a goof ball on the computer because im ultra bored so therefore i say such things  btw yes Bach is amazing
Seriously, Mr. Classical High on his Horse, most of the composers were "kept" men ie they were court musicians for weathy families and nobility (or churches) so it was all about the money. Many of the composers made music because it was a living and tailored the compositions for the audiences' tastes and followed styles of the times. Just like a lot of today's music. Some was considered crap then and now.
Don't get me wrong, I like classical stuff too. The MPR classic radio station we have here is an excellent resource for those want to get a taste of classical music - 99.5 on your FM dial.
i like having my ipod in the car. When i feel like getting crazy I throw in kill switch, sevendust... when I wanna cruise, stereophonics, mark knopfler, sometimes even country hits the spot
i love listening to butch walker, tool, APC, Birthday massacre, Jeff Buckley, Alien ant farm, Sparta, The muse, the adicts, circa survive. when im cruising
Yeah, I could totally see listening to Tool and switching over to Alien Ant Farm mid cruise. I often brush my teeth after gargling oat meal stout.
