What happens if when I take my Subaru for a Long Drive going about 80 mph and when I come to a stop it starts smoking for a bit... it's not the engine... i'm not sure what it could be... can anyone help me figure this out?

What color is the smoke? What does it smell like? Can you hear anything sizzling/burning?

Where is the smoke coming from? The engine bay, the trunk, the passenger seat?

If it was raining, maybe it's steam coming from hot brakes. More info needed.

Could also be pads if there's a lot of braking.
My old PBR/Axxis ceramics would smoke like crazy, but never actually would fade. It was weird.

well it looks like it's coming from the muffler right below the engine, model is impreza 2.2L '97 maybe that'll help.

rear access cover and/or rear main seal, the engine will need to come out for this.

this same thing happened to me before they replaced the front seals on my old legacy. it was leaking oil a bit, and the wind would carry it back onto the hot exhaust pipes and stuff, causing it to smoke a little... you would smell it a bit when slowing down and notice it with the hood open. I am gonna have to agree that it is probably something related to an oil leak.
