I'm always so tempted to buy those. They seem like a great value and overall very well liked, but in the end I don't think I'd like them more than my DT770's.
What ohm and are they very open. I'm looking for a good pair of semi open/open headphone around the $200 price
I got me one of these (supposedly delivered today.....we'll see). Will be putting it up this weekend so the wife can finally stop nagging me about having my spare wheel/tire set taking up space in the garage floor.
I have the cheaper one from this company. It's OK. The big plus is that it's tiny. I've considered a few of these. Let me know how you like it. I think I have 4 full sets of wheels/tires in the garage right now...
The one he pictured only has a 300lb limit which is insufficient IMO. This is a good option if you have the space. Pretty decent for the money... http://www.costco.com/SafeRacks-4'x...age-Rack-.product.100006897.html#BVRRWidgetID Otherwise, www.garagejournal.com has some good tire storage 'ideas'.
300lbs for a set of wheels/tires seem fine to me? The 4'x8' rack could probably hold 4 sets, but the weight limit is only 600lbs so that's probably a worse safety factor (if you loaded it all up with wheels/tires). For storing other stuff the 4'x8' hanging from Costco looks pretty nice. I may have to go that route.
To clarify, the one I bought specifically is here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0058BMNVU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It is only rated up to 300lbs and has an adjustable width up to 48" depending on your stud mounting setup. So, not a problem for 1 full set of wheels and maybe an extra spot for a 5th wheel (unless you have some monster sized wheel/tire combo that weighs more than 60lbs+ each that shouldn't be a problem). Just buy as many as you need for how many sets you have to store. This comes highly recommended by other local car guys who are using them. I was considering the Tirerack one but it costs 3x more than this one. I've also seen some others build their own makeshift racks out of 2x4's. Consider the cost I rather spend a little bit extra of money than invest a few hours of buying materials and building the thing.
Yeah, I've been very close to buying a few of these due to the low cost vs. other tire racks. I'm on the fence on the hanging racks vs. DIY wooden shelves for the rest of my storage.
Nice, let us know how it works out. I might need to pick one of these up as well. Otherwise it's off to the lumber store lol.
Picked up the limited sti rims for sale on craigslist for a deal. One of the rim was pretty beat up but it didn't bother me since it was just for winter use.
My concern with them, is if the garage is not heated, can this harm the tires? I have seen tires come off of racks like this after they sit for a while, and have ware lines which I'd imagine would not be good for driving on after that. Has anyone ever tried individual hangers? I've thought about figuring some 2x4 or 4x4 stumps for lack of better terminology, bolted to a stud that the rim would sit on so that the tire is not stressed.
Alright, the rack is installed in my garage and wheelset is chilling up there (unheated and that won't change for a long time .... ). Seems well designed and is very sturdy/stable (there are 3 lag bolts per side on the frame that bolt directly in the wall stud). Could easily fit a 5th wheel/tire in there (I have it at set at just over 48" width).
Bought the Hakkas on Friday, and mounted them today at work. Pulled the wife's snows down from the attic as well, so we're both going to be ready come first snowfall. Interested in how they actually handle compared to the other winter tires I've driven over the years.
Made a stop at Harbor Freight and came home with some over-due and much needed new "toys". Sorry for the crummy photo.
Nope, im just going to try and minimize down time on my car when It does pop or whenever I decide to go built motor.
Got a White PS4 Destiny Bundle, not a bad game Also got a Hinsonsuper car radiator setup for my Rx7 LS1 swap And a T56 Aluminum Driveshaft with Turbo2 ujoints http://i.imgur.com/aEuNmRr.jpg
Yes, but only true summer tires need to be stored in a heated (say 50 degrees F or higher) storage area. Otherwise the compound on most summer tires will turn pretty hard and render the tires useless. But for all seasons and winter tire, you should be fine storing those wherever.
Bought a winter beater 1995 Tacoma 4x4 with xtracab and only 130k miles! A little rusty on the body but the frame is still solid and the engine/trans are great. Needs new front brakes and all new dampers. Planning to do a coolant/oil/brake fluid flush this weekend. Bought it from my coworker who was the original owner too for a steal.
Used my remaining clubhouse money for a new footjoy pullover and a wedge. Bought a leaf blower/mulcher as well since raking can suck a fat D.
How many cars do you need? At least buy a truck that could haul your inevitably broken Subaru... Or Beemer. Lol
At all times I require exactly one more car than I currently have...also I am sure the taco will outlive both the subaru and bimmer
Tracked down another uncommon part on NASIOC, a ProDrive 'cat'-pipe to hook up to my downpipe, in hopes of reducing back pressure somewhat:
wont exactly be your old 96 black ford ranger, but it will do! Mail boxes should be fearing you once again.
Just got the Samco silicone y pipe, intercooler to throttle body and bpv hoses. Time to get rid of the plastic crap!
Welcome to come down sometime.. outdoor range.. free well just gotta let me shoot your guns... I luv guns
