Yea I havent had any problems with Napa parts or parts from Welle auto supply either. I would never go to autozone for any parts cause most of their counter guys dont know what theyre talking about. And I can see the distance thing but come on lol. If I had to get a part from oreileys I would but thats only if Napa couldnt get it or something like that

When you have to make 4 trips to oreileys and you end up putting on 30 miles to and from oreileys for a belt... There's not enough difference in the world to justify me tripling the distance I will drive someone else's car to try parts.

Agreed. But with Napa we couldve gotten the belt closer to the right size the first couple times so you wouldnt have to keep going back but I guess I see your point in the distance factor and it not being your car

Good luck guessing the size of a belt being used in a custom application lol.

That measured out to 37.5 inches.. Trust me, that was the first thing I tried, for some reason it was no where near close. Needed almost 2 more inches of belt

We think it's because the string went down into the grooves on the pulleys and the belt doesn't lol

Bought two craftsman bench grinders. A 1/3 horsepower model and a massive 35lbs 1Hp Industrial model. These are from when grinders were actually rated accurately in their horsepower. Both of these are the super durable block motor models. Gigantic copper windings for the brushless motor. The 1Hp model takes about 2 minutes to completely wind down after the power has been turned off. Also missing a few pieces, but I can probably make most of them. Probably some of the best bench grinders ever produced.

After a shipping issue, this finally showed up. Got a chance to use it for removing lugs to rotate the tires and I love it so far.

Milwaukee M18 Fuel cordless impact, 3/8 drive, 200 ft-lbs max torque, 18v lithium ion (2), brushless motor, only 6 inches deep (easy access to tight spots ), 3 torque settings, and a handy led light. Northern Tool had a $50 off coupon, so it was just a hair over $200.

Isn't it easier to just pull the ignition fuse and crank it a few times before starting? I do that every time I take the car out of storage. I suppose that method could cause some minor wear in the initial cranking phase, but it is pretty easy...

Outfront has stated to use a 38" belt. Are you sure yours isn't too tight? Where do you have it within the sliding bracket?

It is almost as tight as it can possibly go on the sliding bracket. I can show it off at tonight's meet if I get there early enough and you stay late enough, otherwise I'll still be in the area of im not at digbys

Is it locked down somewhere in the middle of the movement range of the sliding bracket? Or is it just all the way at the lowest point?

I got mine installed. I ended up with the same belt (39.25"). It is borderline too big though. I am going to be looking for a 28.5" one when I have time.

@xluben I took these photos as I went. They are yours to use if you'd like.
Of the many belts I used, 39.25 was the smallest I could slip over the pulley that would still work correctly.

If you expand the post I quoted you can see that I have mine installed. The 39.25" fits over with plenty of slack. I'd like one slightly smaller but they didn't have anything when I went.

Stopped by GrimmSpeed this afternoon. Interrupted their lunch a little bit. Well, Art's lunch anyways. Poor guy set his hot dogs on the damn ground.

Anywho... got the new intake and an EWG setup. I was gonna get the EBCS, but they were all out. Next up, I need to get it all installed and tuned!
Thinking about a fuel pump too.

Mbc for the ewg setup bruh. It will hold a steadier boost.. The ebcs tends to flutter, or at least that is what I have gathered.. Orr you could do a combo of the two and have the ebcs run the dd tasks and all that and have it so that the mbc controls it for WOT!
