One thing I bought through the recommendation of a Wife's associate worth mentioning is this: For mosquito control and it actually works. We live near a wetland/nature special habitat region and the city of BP is pretty lazy to spray for mosquitoes and my area is teeming with them (my brother complains how bad it is at my house and at his house there is a drainage pond in his back yard). Works as advertised and is practically odorless. Will be buying refills for this sucker and possibly a second one for additional coverage.
We have a decent size pond in our yard and we havent had any water in there since our neighbors dug their pond out but one thing we use that has worked great is the mosquito magnet. Even tho you have to buy the refills and propane its worth it. Last year was the first year in about 15 yrs we had water in the pond and it was at it highest its ever been since we built our house in 1991
not so much a purchase but given.. to add to the gun range and pitbike track.. this was 20 loads... we were at around 28 last night adn more today.. dang... blocked my long range now..
Jordan for reference.. in the top picture the wall is about 80 feet in front of the truck to the left
well my neighbor has one.. being as I am always fixing his trucks etc I used it anytime I want... also the inlaws own a landfill so I can also call upon that for one... might have to hit them up for a loader though... haha
I didn't actually didn't purchase this, my wife did. Happy Father's day to me. Seasoned and ready for action. First cook tomorrow for the Family and my Grand Babies.
Hmmmmm. She buys you a gift where YOU are to use it to cook meals for OTHER people. I gotta think about that one... Enjoy.
It's my position as operator of the outside fires. Actually the only place my opinion matters, lol. Terry
I went full nerd and bought some items out of nostalgia from my childhood: This is the original branded Macross stuff....not the Robotech version (which the store I was at on vacation did also have...that Skull One Roy Folker one cost 2x both of these combined!!). Don't mind the background stuff...Costco pizza was for dinner that night.
Ordered it...should be here Thursday. Obviously this is a stock image. The KitchenAid it replaces lasted 13 years, so I guess I got my money's worth out of it. Yes, the new one is white...as much as the wife would like it, I can't get rid of three other white appliances so we can change to another finish.
Very good. But you gotta get the one from the mini food court deli where they sell hot dogs and churros. Much better than Pizza Hut IMO and on par or slightly better than the recent Domino's recipe. I haven't had Papa John's in quite some time but from past experiences prefer it over them too. You get a lot of pizza for $10. The only drawback is lack of options (4 choices only). It's beat to call one in for pickup when you first get there and pick it up after you finish shopping on the way out.
So you're talking about one already baked by them and not the "take & bake" from the back of the store?
Yes. The take and bake ones are OK (a step us from frozen pizza). The dough and amount a sauce they use is different between the two (better for the already baked one).
I mow about 5 acres between my place and the inlaws next door... plus the cabin weekly to bi-weekly.. so yep worth it.. haha
thanks to Shorten and Bill (among others not on this site) who came and helped upgrade the pistol range wall on saturday... technically I only 'purchased' gas for the bobcat.. all the rest was given to me from the ties, rebar to rubber belt.... Have enough ties left over to build this wall twice
Technically the most recent purchase was a driveshaft from @xluben... But I bought some grids that I've wanted for a while!!!
Picked up one of these the other day to go with the new bike I'll be picking up sometime before spring.

time for some maintenance. Hopefully they send me at least pairs of the struts, I really don't feel like repeating what they did with my mini and my Mk1 VW.
Or.... not. Failed the PPI inspection before i took delivery today, so i passed on it. The shopping resumes.
