You can’t go wrong with Hitachi for a miter saw. I strongly recommend a “sliding compound”, but good saw nonetheless!
I have that exact saw stand. For only occasional usage and the low cost, it's great. I think I got the stand only for around $40 at Menards on black friday a couple years back. You could also get a corded model for a lot cheaper. We have a Harbor Freight one (Bauer brand) at our race car shop, and it works fine. One of our guys built a metal stand for it, so you can use it as a stationary band saw. A chop saw is nice for getting nice square cuts though...
I have the Hitachi 10" miter saw...I can't get the stupid thing perfectly square to save my life. Drives me nuts. I have it pretty darn close to perfectly square now, but I don't understand why I can't square it up perfectly! It works fine otherwise though. Get a Diablo 60 tooth blade for nice clean cuts.
For sure. I'll probably end up with a cheap (sub $200) Porter Cable or Hitachi chop saw... Want to fab some behind grill aux light brackets now that I'm started up (down?) The slippery slope... Picked up some new winter wheels/tires today...
Now that I have a garage, I've wished for a way to get the cars lifted higher off the ground. I finally pulled the trigger on a Harbor Freight long-frame jack (compared to the standard Northern Tool aluminum "racing jack" that I've been using for years): 2018-01-04_09-07-29 by Numbchux, on Flickr Lifts SO much higher, and is SO much more stable while doing it. Virtually a straight lift to put my Outback on standard jack stands at their highest setting. It probably weighs 100 lbs, so it's not very portable....but so much safer for major jobs at home.
I've had that same HF jack for a few years now. Very nice! It's very low profile and lifts higher than any other jack I've had.
We traded in the WRX today for this sweet little thing. Although not a wagon I think I’ll learn to like her.
Vinyl can be a huge PITA, I definitely respect the skill it takes to do a quality wrap. Other than a couple trim pieces the only full wrap I've done myself is my brother's bike.
Dick's has the GoPro Session5 on sale right now for $75. I am not near a Dick's, but was out running errands with family and ended up at Target. they price matched the same camera, and after a gift card and that discount, got a pretty stellar deal on a session to use with my Hero4! I think this means I need to start doing cool/extreme things. EDIT: Upon further examination...I got the regular Session. Apparently the 5 is sold out all over the place, most likely from this same deal. I still got the Session under $70, and the differences are not huge, but enough to take a little wind out of the sail...sale.... Session: 8MP, no image Stabilization, HD recording Session5: 10 MP, Image Stabilization, 4K recording
See my edit to the original post, but I still managed to save some money. A little bummed for my lack of observance in the purchase but for what I will use it for this should still be a great little camera. Comparison article from HaveCameraWillTravel.com .
Just tie it around the dog's neck, lie back down on the couch and call it a day. The feeling will pass.
2009 Subaru Legacy Limited. AZ car kept in garage and All the maintance. Got it Mon in the storm 170 some mi. Away. Love it.
Stumbled across a bunch of these in stock at the Northtown Mall Best Buy a couple of weeks ago. Bought it just because and first game I played was Zelda.
Your post made me check my local best buy and they had a few in stock! Looks like they are becoming more readily available. If anyone wants to buy one I'll sell it for only $500.
It was at the Roseville best buy, they had about 6-8 when I was there around 10:30. Yep, $80 When I was checking their website last night it said almost every store will have one in the area this morning. Don't know how accurate that is
I saw a few at Target this past weekend in stock too actually (Super Target in Fridley). Seems that might be in stock all around the metro. I like it but think it is a bit overpriced considering the controllers are still corded (adding bluetooth functionality wouldn't have costs that much extra). But no way I'm paying more than retail for one of these...I'll sell it for more than retail but won't buy one.
Just got this shirt mailed to me as a Xmas gift from my sister-in-law so not really my purchase, but thought it was worth sharing here anyway...
120mm. It has a DELTA rear link suspension system with a custom factory tuned RockShox Monarch RT3 Debonair.

The TRD 4Runner is my favorite SUV. I can't say that I have even seen one in that color though. Nice wheel and tire set up, looks like a winter shredder!
