But seriously I fit in the S2000 better than NA-NC Miatas. The only thing I would change is lower seat rails so I can see stop lights better if I’m first at an intersection.
Bought a newer front beam for my Fastback to get it back on it's own wheels finally. I'll hopefully start bench building a 2.2L engine for it this winter/spring once the transmission adapter plate shows up.
No. Always been a chev guy, and this time I went diesel. I did look at a couple of the rangers, but I liked these more. So far so good. Headlights sucks ass. I am sure my penlight would throw more lights that the stock projectors. Luckily, TRS makes bolt in retrofit projectors, so that with some HIDs and a set of Baja designs S2's and I should be set. If not, I also have a 26" bar from the jeep that I can throw in. Drivewise, this and the jeep are almost the same. This rides much better , but power wise they "feel" the same. This has way less HP and WAY more Tq than the Jeep, but you can't really tell driving other than it sounds like a model T. And gas mileage is pretty good. So far I am in the mid 20's with it and know I can easily be into the low 30's if I can just cruise. I am in too much stop and go traffic to really see what it will do. So far the baby duramax has been working good.
That's great mpg. Way better than expected. Have you played with the diffs yet? Interior was lacking for me personally but wasnt a deal breaker. I was between this and the t4r and went with the yota for the dogs. Still thinking zr2 or maybe gladiator next.
Nice car! The widebody ones are nice, and nice you got the new uprated engine. Glad to see you removed the yellow shipping lip guard lol. You know you can sell those on Ebay for like $200 to posers with base models!
Holy ****... Probably one of the sexiest blue cars that's ever been posted on here. *Dodges flying objects (no pun intended, but I'll take it)
The reason(s) I haven't been at the Tuesday meats... New cabinets for the kitchen!! Decided to design the island out of a base and two upper cabinets. Definitely looks like a.. Rocket ship... without the top.
I like the increased functionality of having the the kitchen, dog kennel and patio in the same room as your office. Add a toilet and you're all set. In for a close up of the pic of the rebel without a cause leaning on the old 'Stang.
A red rocket ship maybe(cack and bawls). Looking forward to the “finished” pics. Lol. What kind of counter tops are you guys going with?
It's a Maisto 1/40 scale with opening front doors and one of those spring- loaded rear axles that you pull back to load. Not terrible for $4.
I think I might post a thread of the whole process when I'm finished. I would now but I dont want to spoil the surprise I'm not entirely sure, since I haven't picked my floor, but there's a good chance it will be granite for the sink and oven area and butcher block for the island.. I guess it depends on how much a 8'x3' slab of that will cost. That's going to be a lot of wood, as I hear 5' is pretty average.
I'm all about low to no maintenance...we went with quartz over granite since it doesn't need to be sealed. No regrets.
If I was a single guy, I could get along with Formica just fine. The biggest gripe I have with our quartz is the coloring...perfect camouflage for all sorts of small food and liquid spills. So hard to see stuff on it (it is shiny and you don't see wet spots) until you set some important papers on it. I would prefer a solid color that is not in the food color palette, and a matte finish so I could see water on it.
I did countertops and a backsplash in my kitchen about 4-5 years ago and went with quartz for the same reason. I'm still pretty happy with it.
Not single but the gf doesn't care what we do, she just wants to get it done... and I agree. That being said, I'll probably go formica unless I find an insane deal on a darker tone quartz. After a little research, quartz over granite is a no brainer. I really like that back splash @pleiades .. How hard is it to clean? Lastly.. Bought my flooring!!
The backsplash is a mixture of glass, stainless, and ceramic tiles but they're all smooth and flat on the surface so it's pretty easy to keep clean.
It looks nice! At first glance, it looked like it had had different depths to it. I've seen some that were stone like that looked impossible to wipe down, so I figured I'd ask.
I finally upgraded from the old hardtail I've been riding for years. Picked this up on the cheap from a coworker who bent the rim and didn't want to wait for a replacement to ship... Must be tough. Also, after riding Spirit MT. Downhill course for the first time on my hardtail, I had to get a new phone.
After selling the HardRock, I also upgraded, but not quite to @JaloP ‘s level! REI Co-op brand DRT 1.2. Perfect next step, yet still intro level/price.
Right on! I'm digging the color. Back when they were first coming out with the full suspension bikes, I remember giving everyone a hard time because they were too "cushy", makes you soft right? You can still ride everything just fine with a hardtail... Well now I'm eating my words. To justify it to myself I figure most trails in duluth it would be a little more fun and I could hit them harder on a full suspension. And of course if I'm going to keep riding at Spirit Mt I would really rather not break my hard tail. I have too much hisory with that bike to throw it down those trails again.
