Me too. I was a bit hesitant till they dropped it off of the floor jacks. Pictures don't really do them justice though, the colors are way different to the eye than they are to a camera sensor. I may have to fire at it with the Nikon slr and see what pops. My phone camera is showing its age. Everyone at Discount Tire dug it. Which reminds me, the guys at the Robert Street Discount Tire in St. Paul are a great bunch of dudes. Time and again, they have done right by me. This time was no exception. Great bunch of dudes over there.
HAHA, that's one of the little solar LED dragonfly garden things that we put out last year that somehow was forgotten during yard clean up. Good catch, lol.
lol yeah the perspective makes it look massive. Digging the rear lip. We're shopping for summer wheels for the lgt and really want to get something other than 5 spokes for once, but not sure we'll find anything that look as classic/sporty as a thin spoke 5spoke. Maybe some split 5s.
SSR GT3. The problem with 5 spokes is that they are always a classic look, most other wheels are a crap-shoot if they're going to look right. And the LGT has such a long profile, especially up front, that 5 spokes fit it well.
@Readymix did you have those installed at the West st Paul Discount tire? If so i'm guessing they did good work? I was thinking of taking my wheels there to get mounted on sat.
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&...10&ei=NsNdUd7WB-LCyQGylYCoBA&ved=0CKcBEPwSMAA I guess that is West St. Paul. But yeah, that's the one. They are good dudes. I couldn't haul the stock wheels and tires home in the Z, for obvious reasons, they had no issue holding them in the back for me to come pick them up today with my larger car. You wont be disappointed.
that's where I've been going for a couple years now...I always get a kick when they pull my car in and have to hit the horn to warn the other employees that there is a car entering the garage...Hella's FTW and yeah them guys are good sh!t
got some cheap wheels with close to new DWS's for a price i didnt want to pass up. hyperchrome is alright, might dip them black
lmfao, we have really similar taste in wheels. I was going to jump on these for the 911 last year but bought the rx7 instead: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...sale-wanted/285604-forged-ssr-gt3-wheels.html The lgt will likely get a similar style, but much cheaper enkei knockoff or similar. Wouldn't mind a second set of OZ crono ht's to match the winters.
tis true. Summer wheels/tires for the LGT came today. Shopping for some similarly designed concave forged monoblock wheels for the 911 now lol
Kershaw 7000CKT Breakout Auto What's that, you Minnesotans can't carry autos? Sorry, it's hard to hear you over my FREEDOM.
Found out we have Harbor Freight here. Picked up a cheap fluxcore wirefeed welder, auto-dimming helmet, some assorted magnets and gloves and a 212cc 6.5hp horizontal shaft Honda clone engine. Go-kart makin' time.
Not officially a "purchase"... but long story short, this guy was on his leash, tied to the church office front door, and he had a paper bag full of treats, a blanket, and a note saying he needed a new home due to a foreclosure. Sad story, but a good ending for all. So far, we have been really happy with him, as he has been coming out of his shell more and more. I feel like I was shopping for a Suburban, and just came home with a Fiat. A great machine, but not at all what we had been looking at! We had been looking for a Boxer, Frenchie, or maybe a Boston Terrier(only wanted to rescue, no breeders) and after the last month and half of looking at shelters and online, we had started to give it a rest, since we were not seeing/meeting the "right" dog, and then boom. This guy shows up. So with out further ado, I'd like to introduce you all to the newest Subie-dog, Rocky FooFoo.
The wonderful brown truck brought me 4 presents today 315/75r16 GoodYear Wrangler Duratracs Next to one of the wheels they'll be going on, and the stock-sized tires. I'll do a little paperwork, and then Discount tire direct will be sending me $160 worth of visa gift cards to go with them....
Hahaha it was a team effort! Photos and full story posted! (idget you may need to help me with my lack-of-properly-inserting-images skillzzz)
picked up a 320gb hdd chromebook before they're all gone in favor of the new acer sdd version (thanks for tracking one down mr tran!). setting up an ubuntu partition now
