Figured that this would be easier than trying to stick it in the LaX thread. -Do's- *Show up with a full gas tank. *Make sure that your tires are good to go. *Snacks, sodas, piss bottles(this train does not stop!) *FRS radios are used by some, if you have one, bring it! *Be on your best behavior. MnSubaru and it's members want this to be a safe, fun cruise and weekend for everyone! *Stop to help someone if they pull off with any mechanical issues. *last minute provisions can be had inside of WalMart after you check in with me. *CHECK IN WITH ME WHEN YOU GET THERE...WHITE BUGEYE WITH LOTS OF RUST! LOL *Campers! Weather forcasts are always a crapshoot. You may want to pack extra clothes, shoes, rain gear. I'm bringing a couple of tarps to put up to protect us from some of the elements.* -Do nots- *Do not-drive like a maniac. The pace car is NOT to be passed! If you have a camera and want to shoot video/pics, merge into the left lane, make a pass up the line, and get back in BEHIND the pace car. *Do not-fall out of single file formation. If you are slowing down traffic in the fast lane, get over and let them pass and then resume. *WE ARE GOING TO BE A HAZARD THE WHOLE WAY FOR OTHER MOTORISTS. We need to remember that at all times and make sure that we are doing all that we can to be courteous to the other motorists! If you missed it, we meet at 8am and depart by 9/9:15am for LaCrosse. We will leave without you, so please be punctual! I'll be there around 7:30/7:45am. Keep it safe and have fun!! See you in the morning!!!!! -Josh
Should tell people to keep up and not fall so far behind the pack, or if there going slow, to move over and let the rest of us go that want to stick with the group
With the amount of cars, that's almost impossible. People get stuck at red lights etc. It's ok to pass slower folks, just don't pass the pace car.
Its quite simple. Want to go faster stick to the back as the group gets going it will work like an accordion. A car in the front changes speed as much as 1 mph it translates to over 10 mph by the time it makes it to the back of the group.
For those without an FRS radio I created a Zello channel. If you have a smartphone or tablet with data you'll be good to go. 1) Download the App: Zello Walkie Talkie 2) Enter Channel Name: LaXCruise 3) To be safe I recommend leaving the channel off while at work. You can change alert settings and stuff inside the app or just turn the channel off. 4) The audio can be replayed at a later date to be used in videos or wherever you see fit. Easy to use. Free. @tangledupinblu if you or anyone else wants to be a moderator/admin of the group let me know.
Talking about 52 and through the twisties. I've always been at the end Every year, Just saying, Keep up with the group
1st and foremost this is a family oriented cruise not a how quick can we all take corners down 52. Yes its great fun to take it quick through the twisties I know but that is not what this cruise is about.

FWIW, @Joe seiter is going to make a "test run" to assure that there are no suprise detours this year!
I was down in Millville last weekend, to that point there are no detours, can't comment on anything east of that though..
