Slug, 9" Nails, GnR, The Black Keys, any B3 jazz squad, pre '95 hip-hop, RATM, ACDC, Public Enemy, (old) U2...blah blah blah Regardless, no effing kuntree under any circumstances... I'd rather listen to dogs fart...
oon sssss. Electronic music for me: house, progressive. Think Nick Warren, Paul Van Dyk, John Digweed, Benni Benassi, Dave Seaman, and Hernan Cattenao. Very good stuff.
All about the metal! \m/ :yumyum: My CURRENT favorite bands are Opeth, Porcupine Tree (not metal, but awesome no matter what you call them), Vital Remains, Deicide, Austrian Death Machine (basically just Tim Lambesis of As I Lay Dying), As I Lay Dying, Katatonia, The Absence, Vomitory, Amon Amarth, and Behemoth. There's plenty more, but I'd be here all day. Oh...And country "music" makes me want to stab my eardrums with a cattle prod. I really don't understand the lasting appeal of a genre that basically revolves around wearing Wranglers and Stetson hats, drinking beer, getting divorced, drinking beer, paying child support, drinking beer, riding cowboys/horses, drinking beer, ad nauseum. Beer is fun, but I hear enough about the rest of it from the older gentlemen at work that songs about it just about drive me nuts. Nothing against fans of it though, to each their own. In conclusion, however, I will submit that several of the bands I listen to would probably have the same effect on some people as country has on me. Some are an...acquired taste.
Girl Talk, Linkin Park, Boston, Chicago, REO Speedwagon, Sevendust, Bloodhound Gang and many many more
Slipknot, in flames, trivium, mushroomhead, mudvayne, crossbreed, sevendust, throwdown, anything metal or nu metal just about anything
i also would agree with the country statement. I listen to alot of metal as well such as Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, Dying Fetus... etc BTW, Cradle of Filth concert tomorrow night :yumyum: should be killer
I have a wide variety of interest, but over the past 10 years it has been pretty consistent. (Too many to list. PM me for more information ) Metal : Opeth ( Anything involving Mike Akerfeldt),Porcupine Tree,Vader,Old School Metallica,Slayer,Isis,Pelican,Neuorsis,Cult of Luna. Nachtmystium, Converge, BTBAM, Baptists, In Flames, The Ocean, Dimmu Borgir, Etc Industrial : Ministry, Suicide Commando, Imperative Reaction, Lost Signal, Assemblage 23 , Velvet Acid Christ, KMFDM, Skinny Puppy, The Birthday Massacre, etc Electronic: ATB, Digweed, Claude Von Stroke, Tiesto, Darude Rap: Ice Cube, Dr. Dre , Eminem, Snoop Dogg (Lion), Bun B, Ludacris, Lil Jon
I have enjoyed them in the small doses that I have heard. I need to get some of the records they have out. I think I have two. (lateralus, and 10000 days). Again, I just threw some artists out there.
The Root City Band, local rock/blues/jazz guys who know how to keep it grooooovy. I'm hoping someone has heard of these guys.

I don't listen to the radio, I listen to my turbo spoolin'! (the young me, but this is my first turbo-awd car). But in all seriousness, I've been listening to a lot of Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Guns n Roses, Queen, and Muse lately. Also mix some OG rap music and trance then I'm good. Otherwise I don't really listen to the radio all that much.
I never put a radio antenna in my chevy can of beer when I had it so i was perfectly fine sticking to cds and mp3s. still havent missed the radio since 2006.
