What about the aluminum control arms? Did they ditch them on the 07 STI as well?

Uglier tail lights on the 07, not much of a difference but still.

No sodium filled valves on the 07 because the heads are different and subaru claimed the efficiency of the new heads did not require the sodium filled valves. Not very sure on the actual mechanical differences of the heads though, but i'm sure a quick NASIOC search will come up with it.

07 STi has aluminum control arms, however the 07 WRX lost them. The only Model Year WRX to have aluminum control arms is the sedan 06. No wagons have ever had aluminum control arms due to the different track width, they would have to make special wagon versions.

The '07 also has different gear ratios.

I haven't really looked into it, but I thought I heard at one point that the '07 also has AVCS on the exhaust cams.

The VF43 turbo on the 2007 has a slightly larger (1mm, I believe) IWG over the VF39 on the 2006. The 2007 also has a pass through rear seat.

The major changes are the heads, turbo, and gear ratio's.

Since the heads flow much better then previous years, there have been many cases of stock injectors/pump having trouble even keeping enough fuel for the stock tune (which is quite rich, as normal for Subaru).

The '07 STI's are hard to tune, but make great power.

    Let's test my knowledge:
    2006 STi(left) - 2007 STi(right)

    vf39 turbo - vf43 turbo
side feed injectors - top feed injectors
no pollution control - extra pollution control
    plastic motor mounts - kaboom!
short gearing - abit longer gearing

other things: 07 STi's TVG are different from other STi's

    damn...thats it............
