Ok, so my wife's 98 Honda Civic seems to be having some transmission issues. I haven't experienced it yet, but it sounds like her city driving gears are slipping a bit. Where is the best place to get rebuilt or used automatic transmissions? I know, not Subaru, but car guys nonetheless...I can be assured to find someone who can help on this site :)

    Thanks,
    Mike

honestly, post on a honda forum i would say. with everyone buying up shells to build off of and do 5 speed swaps anyways you could probably find a nice, low millage auto pretty cheap.

I would also get more info than "the city gears are slipping". Could be low on fluid, could be a bad clutch pack, could have too much fluid. Kinda need more info to figure out what really is happening.

yeah, we're separated...so I'm going off of the minimal information that I have...but I should take a look at it more closely.

Try there, you can probably find a few in your area. Can't say how much they would be though.
