Who has an Iphone?

I am straight as it gets.

 

I like the apple phones and their products all together, but I would not pay that much for a phone!
I bought mine for $49 and have had it for over two years. I only use it as a phone and I have dropped it a million times and it's still in one piece.

 

Blackberry Curve--T-Mobile. IPhone is sweet, but I enjoy my crackberry quite a bit. I would almost rather have a nice phone and then an Ipod Touch which does a lot of the same stuff.

 

who is your provider? what version of software you running on it?

 

I'm on my second blackberry. Build Quality has been great, very reliable, no real problems to speak of. My 8700g fell from a catwalk to the stage (16 feet), the battery flew out and whatnot. Put it back together, nothing more than some minor cosmetic damage. Scuffs and scratches. Not even a crack.

 

I also love my blackberry pearl, i am on my 5th blackberry with two differnt providers.

Also, i picked up the HTC Touch a couple of weeks ago and so far I am pretty satisfied with it. It functions well enough on the Alltel network and the touch cube interface is brilliant imo.

 

if i did not get an iphone i would get a blackberry for sure.

 

I have a iPhone. I love it. I also have a blackberry 8830 for verizon web capabilities for sale.

 

First of all, that was great. Second, I will never buy another apple piece of crap again in my life. I made the mistake of buying a ipod two years ago. It's only a portable hard drive and lcd, simple right? Wrong. Most of the time, after playing music for over a half hour, if you want shut it off, good luck. The pile of junk locks up, then you have to do a hard reset to shut it off. Apple says this is normal, as long as you can reset it. What a joke. So what makes me think they could ever make something more complex, like a phone, or even a computer. End rant.

You got a bad one or two. I had 3 ipods and iphone and a powerbook. I have never had a problem with either of them. Computers, mp3 players and phones will break some more often some less often. I kinda wish my iphone broke cause i can go and get a brand new one, not scratched with out any questions.

I had a photo one, gave it to my dad, and bought a video, gave that one to my dad too. The got a first gen nano. Still have that one in the car. I want to get a new classic one but its 250 bucks and i really dont feel like spending that much money on it right now.

 

Everyone(companies) knows that ipod is really the best mp3 player. Its easy to use Itunes is so easy a monkey can use it. Thats why pretty much every company makes an accessory for an ipod.

 

Every company makes accessories for them because the apple consumer whores will buy them as fast as they are anally aborted onto the shelves.

I would get one IF they cost under 200 and ATT could/would seel them unactivated...

$400 is ridiculous as is the ATT only plans.

Plus its an apple product - Which means it will work like a charm for 6 months and them never work right again ( Hummm kinda like a VW...) at which point apple will release un updated version for half of what you paid for it. Anyone buy an Ipod video in the last year?

 

True the price is steep. But its like that with Technology. Things get old fast. I bought an iphone for 500 when it first came out. Now you can get one for 500 with three times as much memory. I dont blame apple for it, they make money on holding their product away from the market. I am sure they already have a 32 gig iphone sitting in the back room but they are waiting will they can get more people to by the older ones and then they will roll out the new ones and get more people to buy it. Then 3g version will come and even more people with buy it. Sdk will sure get a ton of new customers. In a year or two they will sell it thorough other carriers and it will be even better.

 

Yeah, that's exactly how Apple does business, where a normal manufacturer would just allow external memory, so you can buy three times the memory in 6 month for $50. Apple releases a new version with 3 times the internal memory.

This is truth. One reason why I don't really like apple. I bought the 16g and 2 weeks later the 32 came out but for some reason I went with the flock of sheep and bought one...not sure why...this will hopefully be my last ipod...and so far I love it for the features it has.

 

I don't own any i-anythings.
If i want to hear music, i have thousands of mp3 cds that I can dig through in my car.
Part of the fun is digging through the discs and making mixes that may not make any sense to anyone - but they are still fun to listen to later. Even years later.
any mp3 player that "shuffles" every single song I have on mp3 is no fun.
and then the real cds I have - the non-downloads ... mp3 sound does not compare to cd sound - i don't care what anyone says.

So I will take my cds and mp3s and my pioneer player that does mp3 any day of the week over something that I can carry with me everywhere.

A few years ago when I was riding the bus instead of driving and had a reason to listen to headphones every day - i may have bought one. Some of us prefer this old method. It's no different than someone wanting to use records instead of cds.

I am sure some people on this site still feel like I do.

 

I got a non-branded generic Iphone. Works pretty ok for the price.

What I like about it:
-plays MP3
-Expendable memory slot
-Design of the phone
-has that "samsung" black glossy material
-3.2" Touchscreen w/pencil
-256k Color screen
-set mp3 as ringtone
-features: writing, 1 game, pic editing, and built in software make your music(piano).

Downside:
-Doesn't really support much video format.
-kinda frozes on the "slide to unluck" screen if its cold.
-Harder to navigate then normal phone.
-touchscreen sucks when you're in a rush.
-Plays video in LOW resolution only, Hi res. will slow video down or not play at all, but audio keeps playing.
-cannot do fullscreen view on Videos(maybe i just dont know how yet).
-Manual Sucks(mostly does not explain "how to". Only shows features).
-Head set come w/phone sucks. Your caller cannot hear you good, static.

 

A couple friends that have the Pearl and its still reads an hour behind, there phones didnt automatically adjust for daylight savings.

Wrong. The Apple MP3 player is a money pot; other accessory companies are trying to emulate Apple's design because no one is better at ****ing their own customers in the ass and making them thank them for it. It's like watching a bunch of posers trying to emulate the cool kid at school.

I like apple products for their design, build quality and functionality. Thouse are concreate reasons. I had many pc computers and cell phones. I can tell you from experence that apple computers are better in every way for my use. You on the other side dont have an iPhone or a mac computer and have no means of comparing them.
