Why don't you pick up a used Legacy. You aren't going to lower your payments for **** if you go buy a new Legacy GT. And if speed is your problem, a LGT isn't going to fix it. Seriously, if you are selling the STi to save some money for your house and your kid, you should make for damn sure that it is worth it. And I'm saying this in all seriousness. You wont be saving hardly a dime unless you go get a car that you can nearly buy outright and then drive that thing into the ground. If I were you, I'd go buy myself a 98 Legacy Wagon...the fully decked out one, leather and such...then drive it to death. You could easily find one for 8K out the door. If you did the oil changes regularly it'd last you another 5 years without any issues. Drive it for 5 years (or more) and you'd save a boat load. Not to mention your insurance payments would be alot less. Why do you think we still have the Altima? I paid for that thing straight cash. Insurance for it is super cheap and we don't owe anything on it. We'll probably have that car for another 3 years before we finally let it die. Only problems it has had was the alternator went bad and we caught an unlucky stone in the ac system once. Otherwise it hasn't cost us anything to own it and it gets great gas mileage.

man if that had only been around when i was buying a daily driver...

I would sell my WRX and my matrix for that car.

Then i'd put a big ass turbo in it.

Dream, we all know why everyone's breathing down your neck. You've got something everyone wants and now you want to sell it off in place of something no one wants on this forum. I've been in your situation and it really sucks to give up something that people recognize you for in place of something much less. Take it like a man and realize what's most important to you--not for others. You have a baby, a woman, and a house. Weigh out the consequences and you'll be happy you've made the decision you did when you look back at it. Get another hotrod when you and the wifee makes more $$$. I'm still telling Chuck though. ;)

    my $0.02.

The valve body and torque converter for the automatics? Just guessing.

Can't imagine why else he would want a AT unless for the wife.

I agree with what you are saying Nathan and Fong but if a huge hit must be taken to trade cars...is that such a good deal? Erik was thinking 3bay to sell the car hopefully if he goes that route he gets some serious bank for it.

 It doesn't take too much to make you squeel, doesn't it?

Pete, I see what you're saying. His STi is reliable, has 110% adrenaline, and gets lots of kudos. I would like that myself, but he's in a bind and the bind is 18 years expensive. :ugh: Dream will miss it very much. I hope Dream isn't doing anything he'll regret.
