why did my torque converter do this?

    When I removed my trans that shaft did stick a bit too. I could remove it though. I don't think you would have been moving at all if that was the problem. That is the input shaft. You probably have a valve body or clutch pack issue. Subaru mechanics chime in.

    The clip is very important. You need to get a new one and put that tube back in/on the torque converter before you put it back in the trans. That tube drives the oil pump.

    i was curious about the clip since its missing a tab, and each trans I've used for this car (this makes the third) the tab has been broken. So i don't know if thats supposed to happen or whats the deal with it?
