Its a tough call Ray, talk about put'n a guy between a rock and a hard spot. Be in agreement with whatever you decide. It will be that much easier. Theres gonna be a happy ending...just a matter of which one. Don't worry.
yep.. makes all this car crap pale into non-existance.... hmmm having everyone go weak at the knees cause you have a shiny pipe on your car, or making babies/having your loved one being alive... yep... prayers are with you both through any decisions or surgery you face...
Thanx all...problem is if she decides on having the baby...well that's at least 9 months away...If I can get it at the 1st shot...*doubt that* We would need to see a specialist again to have a baby and actually getting it all done...maybe as far as 2yrs away before she can even give birth to one... 2yrs. is a long time (leaving it in her) and we won't know what can happen during the pregnancy either... Now u guys are making me all worried again...lol
I'm posting quite a bit and occuping my mind elsewhere with work and building my car too, so that I don't have to think about this...but I guess it always comes back...
Man...how ****TY is this...her doc calls her back up after telling her it should be fine to try to have a baby to "U need to get a Surgery SOON and quick" she just called me and it didn't make sense... I told her to call her other doc since we saw 2 specialist...to see if we need to get this done right away as well... HIgh's and Low's FTL...
Keeping the love of your life for a lot more years FTW... our thoughts and prayers are with you and if you have any questions on how to deal with it feel free to pm MRS.02blubru She used to work in the oncolgy unit at methodist, I am sure she has some advice to be had... Good luck ray, you got a community of great guys/girls here for you and on your side.
Why don't you carry the baby Ray? Just like the old school Arnold Swartzenager movie. It'll be a win, win, win. You get to have a baby, she'll get to have the surgery, and then we'll get to take pics of a pregnant Ray. What ever you choose, just make sure that you look back with no regrets. Make a decision and stick with it. I stored some sperm cause I lost lefty and chemo was to give me a 50/50 shot of ever having kids again and I got lucky. Didn't need my frozen juice.
Wow Ray, first time I ran into this thread, sorry to hear about this. Everyone on here sounds like good people, hate to hear about bad news to good people. My family will pray for you and your wife. Take care and God bless.
Good luck to both of you in your decisions! Hope all goes as planned... Keep in mind that there are always ways to bring a new life into your world... and there is nobody quite like your wife. You can't replace her. If it can't work for you two, there are many great and very happy couples who have adopted! I know many, including a two Korean friends of mine that were both adopted and are both awesome people. A co-worker of mine also just recently adopted and native american baby and pretty much went through each and every step, including witnessing birth, holding the newborn, and taking the child from the start! She and her husband couldn't be happier! Always keep your head up!
amen to that... and worse case (if you can say it is) you can adopt.. many awesome young kids who need people to love them and give them dress sense... well 1 out of 2 wont be bad.. ha ha
Well...looks like she wants to try to have a baby...we are going to see her doc next monday...to see what we can do...Of course if she feels weird about anything, surgery is the first priority... Her doc says that during her pregnancy her hormones can change and maybe help the cancer not to spread even more...but who knows...nothing is garaunteed
pm me.. I can give you some pointers on HOW to make a baby... ha ha ha ha... you dont need to see a doc about that
hahaha, Nate is a 'baby making machine!' Just remember Ray that everything happens for a reason. My parents were told that they would never have any children, 1 in a million chance. They prayed on it, and had my little brother and I. I'll keep you both in my prayers. On a more serious note...let the wife pick out the kids shoes! j/k, ferrari logo'd red driving shoes are ftw indeed.  ....they do match your red jackstands though!! zing!
update: Wife just saw her oncologist on Monday...well...good and bad news I forgot the term...but she has to do mini-surgeries every 3 months for a year..they are inserting some "T" style time release into her uteris and it expands to a "T" and blocks the ovaries too...I believe...It will thin out the uteris wall where her cancer is and hope that her body can flush it out during her cycle...Supposedly she has to much estrogen (i think that is how u spell it) and not enough of that other crap that starts with a "P" and that is whats causing the cancer to begin with...(Hormone imbalance) by thinning out her uteris wall they said it may help cure it...But they have to reinsert the "T" style device every 3 months and to check on her to make sure it didn't make it worst... So after the 1 year of this stuff...and everything goes well...We will try to have a baby, so overall it is a 2yr. process...
I hate going to hospitals...all I hear when doctors talk is :muah ma muah ma la ha muah ha, and their mouth moves real slow and my eyes get blurry...lol Females here, please elaborate on some of the terms I used if I didn't use them correctly or appropriately... sorry in advance
Well, 1 3/4 hopefully... still shorter than project jackstands:biggrin: So the thing that starts with a P that she wasn't getting enough of... hmm, I'll let Nathan cover that one... Seriously tho, glad to hear you guys are making progress. Lets take Belinda out to China Jen to celebrate lol
