What exactly happened on sat? I turned on the game for a second and it was 3-0. Bad goal tending? defensive collapse? both? Ouch, that loss had to hurt.
A completely different team showed up after the 1st. We were skating at all...we were lazy! I think there was one goal that Backs shouldn't have let up, but it definitely was not a goaltending problem. The Sens got their first goal, and a glimmer of hope. It's almost like we thought the game was over after the 1st.
lmao @ Probert night. Is there going to be a ceremonial pre-game fight? It's probably fitting that Gillies is out sick and Boogie will take his roster spot.
:bows down to harding: I have good tickets to Tuesday's game against the Kings! I hope they can keep this streak up! We all know how well we do in situations where we "should" win...
Good news! With this, hopefully that means they have a trade lined up for Gabby http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=269561&lid=headline&lpos=topStory_nhl
Well, something else is going down. Well just cleared waivers, Olvecky is currenty on waivers, we already have a open roster spot and after the trade deadline, we can keep as many people as we want on the roster. Russ
Hmmm....interesting. Olvecky didn't really impress me all that much, but what are we making room for?
I was starting to get nervous about this. Good for Backstrom too, sounds like he genuinly wanted to stay here.
Too bad Avery got picked up by the Rangers, lol. Clutterbuck Avery Voros for a 3rd line (meh, who needs a center anyways)
Avery doesn't do **** except for talk...he can't back it up, and I wouldn't want any other players risking injury protecting that little chicken **** Avery
I agree, it was a big enough deal when chris simon came here. We don't need a bad image like that. I think people like clutterbuck because he's like a little energizer bunny. He brings alot of energy to the game while getting people riled up and still contributing. Almost all his hits are clean though so he's not bringing a bad image.
Heh, imagine this line.... Avery Cooke Ruutu Then put Pronger & Mitchell out on D... :eek4: Just thinking about it makes my blood boil.
Damn it! No Wild on TV?? I checked 5, 45, FSN, and VS (who are playing the penguins vs ? ). Anyone know where I could go to watch it?
Yep, you're correct. My wallet schedule said 7pm. Crisis averted, and Green Mill happy hour, here I come!
Well, we are officially more than one game out of the last playoff spot. It's not looking good Something big needs to change...this style of play, with the roster that we have just isn't going to cut it!
Reitz was just picked up off waivers by Toronto... Now, just sit back and wait for the Wild's move...I mean, they have to do something right!?
I wanna see us at least get in the playoffs... we get in, and its happy times. Mn plays good when we have to come up from nothing.
Voros cleared waivers. Word on the street is that Jokinen is packing up and heading up to Calgary. :eek4:
its pretty bad when they keep blowing leads like that, they need to step up pretty big here to make playoffs
Really, I would have them ride the fail boat the rest of the year. Half the reson we have little to no talent in Houston is because we finish the season pretty good. So we get the middle of the road draft picks. If we cruise the fail boat the rest of the season, we should be able to jump up the line in the draft picks and MAYBE get something better than our standard 15-20th place pick. Even if we do make it into the playoffs, we will be playing Detroit, San Jose, or Calgary. No of which we have NO luck at in their buildings, and can sometimes scrape by in our building. And I don't want to shell out another 1k for my playoff tickets to watch them be a 4 and done run. Russ
Another year with no big moves for this team, I'm not a Wild fan but man it even upsets me at how incompetent the front office is for this organization. I'm actually surprised my Sharks didn't make any moves seeing how depleted with injuries they are at the moment, and with how much better Calgary, Boston, and Pittsburgh just got. I thought Cheech was a goner for sure.
Well, the time is up...but there are still deals being announced. I'm not holding my breath Plus, most of my info sites are being overloaded with traffic right now so they aren't loading!
YES! (4:04 p.m. ET): The Stanley Cup contending San Jose Sharks got better, in a big way, with the acquisitions of hard-nosed forward Travis Moen and defenseman Kent Huskins. Moen was key part of the '07 Cup-winning Ducks team, so he's yet another champion added to the Sharks roster after GM Doug Wilson added Cup champions Rob Blake, Dan Boyle, Brad Lukowich, Claude Lemieux and coach Todd McLellan over the last year. Moen, especially, brings some serious grit to the Sharks' lineup and we wonder if this move wasn't made because Mike Grier is out long term.
