Windshield cleaning

    There's this weird oily film/residue on my windshield that doesn't want to come off. Any tips? Can you use compound on glass without damaging the integrity?

    You can use any standard paint correction compound on glass and it won't hurt it

    Thanks. I didn't think it would but then again I'm little versed in this so confirmation is always a plus. I'll give that a shot and see if it helps any.

    I have no idea what ended up in the washer fluid reservoir but it didn't do any good to the windshield or the paint. The hood isn't too bad except where it sprays out and compound worked on that pretty well.
