To sweeten the pot, I am offering an un-disclosed prize for the winner of this month's contest. This prize will be coming out of my pocket and will be a worth-while gift for the winner. Topic 1: Reflections Topic 2: Signs of Spring There are two topics this month due to a tie last month. Participants may choose from either of these for their entry for the March contest. **Voting will be from March 23-30th** Rules: 1. READ THE RULES PLEASE!!! 2. ***Please E-mail or PM pictures to me and I will add them to the thread anonymously.*** Please provide a title and remove signatures that would give away the photographer. Feel free to watermark for copyright purposes. PM Me if you want my E-mail address 3. One entry picture per person allowed for contest. 4. Picture must be YOURS - and **NEW THIS MONTH** must be taken DURRING the cotest dates. 5. Photoshopping / alterations IS/ARE allowed. 6. Must follow forum rules (no NSFW, swearing, etc.) 7. Maximum file size: not too big. 8. Whoever wins the challenge must have new challenge posted by the last day of the previous month. 9. This is the discussion AND photo thread, yo. PS: I have no idea how you are going to proove that your picture was taken durring the contest dates. I don't want to see the digital "time and date" thing destroying the picture, so don't turn that stupid thing on. Someone mentioned something about sending the something-something info along with the picture, but obviously, I have no idea what that means...
It was a close one this month with only three members entering pictures. Hopefully next month will spark a bit more envolvement. But, without further blabber... CONGRATULATIONS RYAN!!! You won the March photo challenge with "springtime stream". Springtime Stream
WOO HOO, I dropped the ball on the last contest, so now I know when its due before its too late this time around.
thats if the image provided has Exif data attached still... i cant figure out how to keep mine attached when editing or after i host it on photobucket.
ok so a few people are getting more focused on composition. not everyone but its getting better. this month lets try and get better composed shots! no point and shot snapshots. really try people. the goat pic last month was a worthy winner for sure. lets see more shots with good exposure, content, size, balance, and feeling. think outside the box.
I might try this month all I have is a point and shoot camera but I know how you use it well and understand composition.
So, no one has submitted any pictures so far. Next month, it goes back to the old rules where the picture does not have to be taken durring the month. We'll try it again when it's summer and people actually want to go outside. do I hear a second?
^ I think that it would be ok to leave the new rule in place. I will submit something, I just havent thought about what to submit. I will take my picture between now and the voting deadline.
It's a bit late to put pics up for this month's topic, but you can definately get on board next month. The deal is that every month has a topic or a theme. Everyone is to go out and take pics revolving aroudn that theme and PM or E-mail them to me. I post them anonomously and people vote for what picture they think is the best or they like the best. The winner gets to pick the theme for the upcoming month. This month has two themes because there was a tie last month. Most of the time there will only be one. PM me or post questions, I'll do my best to answer them. -Ted
wow people must have not tried at all. im one to be counted on that list for for the photos entered... i hope its like this next month. well composed and exposed shots ftw
Nice looking photos this month. I just could not find anything that *popped* for the topic(Sorry Ted). hopefully next month.
I hadn't found anything either, then this afternoon I got a ton of pictures of a deer down by the Stone Arch Bridge, pretty good spring-time pictures, literally as this closed. Oh well, there is always next month. Good pictures this time around though!
Yeah, we'll do the "Must shoot the pic durring the month" again last month. Hopefully it gets people out to shoot even if it's for a few minutes. I've been hauling my camera with me since I got it.
I'm really sorry guys, I totally spaced for the past month. I've been stupid busy with work and it's getting really frustrating . But next month! I'm in!
ehh.. I can do better. I hand-held that shot but I can see some blurring where I didn't want there to be some.
