Winter Tuesday Meet

actually i went to the one in Blaine (up by northtown mall) but if people want to go to BWW this tuesday im cool with a location change. its got everything we want, cheap food, beer and sports!

 

So, anyone going out tonight? I was thinking of going back and terrorizing William's Peanut Bar in Uptown. Free peanuts, popcorn, and a massive selection of beer on tap. $5 chicken sandwich and fries special too. There's free parking on Fremont Ave. (come in off Hennepin and 29th St., since 29th is a one way), just have to come in the rear entrance to William's. Otherwise the library parking lot across the street from William's usually has spots open if you don't want to park on the street or are unable to (the entrance for this lot is right after you turn onto Lagoon Ave. from Hennepin Ave.).

We meet-up downstairs (to all the newcomers) at around 8. I'll be wearing my new grey Scoobies For Boobies t-shirt. Or just look for the gathered crowd throwing peanuts at each other. :biggrin:

I'm out....not a huge fan of Williams.

 

Williams peanut bar was actually pretty good, tons of beer on tap, and you can even get a liter!

I wouldn't mind starting out there next week again..

 

Yeah, I say we hit it up every Tuesday. We had the place to ourselves save 2 other people. Darts, skee-ball, foosball, punching bag, and Tokyo Drift all available to have fun with. Big selection of beers on tap, with Nordeast on tap (and one of the cheap beers).

 

Sounds like a good time. I've always liked Williams, just haven't been there in a while. I'll go next week.

no.....not that i can remember......yea im not a fan of jj's. its more then half way back to work....not a huge fan of doing the same drive twice. when you guys hit up OC in Roseville or something this side of town Ill be more then happy to try and make it. Im not checking this as much has i could/should.....

 

I'm not going to be able to make it out tonight, due to a family emergency for my co-worker.

i was just looking at that map are we able to park in that big lot or no? does it cost anything to park there?

 

I'm going to park in that big lot behind Williams. Not sure what the cost is, if any.

 

They charge for parking in that lot. Unsure of how much it is, but I know it's alot more than on the street. The meters cost $0.25/min and are free after 10. So, bring $2 in quarters and you should be good.

also most of the time there is no one at the parking lot for slims so u could try that first or people park at MCdonals all the time to if u watn to risk it

 

Does Cowboy Slims' lot charge though? For the new people, alot of the time we walk a block or two over to Cowboy Slims and hangout there as well around 10. They have 2-4-1's at 10, much better than Williams' happy hour.

 

Most of the time there is no one watching so u can just park and walk away

Sheen, you can't deny the amount of good beers on tap there for long. If you need an Old Chicago bottle opener that bad, you can have mine (for the right price).
