I was throwing around the idea of hooking up my Hella Horns tomorrow night after work if people want to drink beer in the garage and watch me start my car on fire. My propane heater gets the garage up to around 50*. Not that this will be an exciting install but i thought i would throw the idea other there.... if not i will install after work and drive out to whatever ends up happening tomorrow.

 

I will be at uptown old Chicago tomorrow they have good beer selection and a parking lot.

 

Cool. I saw this last night and just went ahead and did the install last night. Figured it would hurt to ask.

 

never hurts to ask..figured we would try oc cause williams is just not working out.

 

I am going to try and make it out again tonight. OC in uptown sounds good!

ill be out at OC too, got a new member coming out too (would like to know what people are thinkin for location, i am thinking about going to roseville OC but would like to know if anyone else is headed out there)

Their happy hour starts an hour earlier now (at 9 instead of 10) and bingo/bargo was fun! Parking lot was full, but there were a good amount of open street spots right out front. I spent about $10 total, plus tip, for two beers and an appetizer.

 

Uptown is sooo far though

 

Everywhere is too far for somebody...

 

Sad I missed it this week. Maybe next week.

 

exactly!!! no one can win here..but in all fairness this meet was started in the metro at lake calhoun for the summer so in the winter it seems fair to keep it somewhere close to lake Calhoun but nothing wrong with trying new places to see what works and what doesnt. next week I will call ahead to reserve a table so a rough head count next tues would be nice.

 

i make it out to almost every one, and im prolly not more then 10 mins away from you.

 

One of my local watering holes by Lake Calhoun is Tryg's and they have a huge parking lot. It's not the cheapest place but the happy hour is pretty good on Tuesdays...

3 pm - 7 pm and 10 PM - 1 AM

They also have an outdoor bonfire

haha I love that place..I walk there its less than a bock from me.

 

Walking distance for about 4-5 of us. Trouble is, the happy hour doesn't start until 10, and we meet-up around 8. And regular prices at Tryg's are a little high.

I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for you though if you're in Uptown alot. Not too often you see another red WRX.

 

Yes, I agree the prices at Tryg's are a bit high if happy hour is not happening. I live in SW by Lake Harrie but work in DT and Uptown so I'm in the area quite a bit. I"ll look forward to making out to a HH soon to meet a few people regardless of the venue.
