I'm prob not quite at 350 whp, but should be close. And it's aspen white like yours, so that's at least 50 whp. Why do you ask?

 

Tipping it over is mean...but picking them up and flipping them the opposite direction is hilarious.

 

I'm sitting at 310whp "stage 2" E85 and mod bug has been killing me. I wanted to see if there's any 350+whp cars that come to the meets to see if I can get a feeler of how different it is compared to where i'm at. I don't want to upgrade my turbo if the gains aren't very noticeable. I'm debating between a 20gxtr or else a dom 1.5xtr; so these would be the kind of cars i'd like to see. I understand motor build and I have money on the side for when that time comes.

 

Ah ok, I'm stage 2 + E85, so essentially the same power level.

What motor are you on? If you're stock and upgrading the turbo...better budget for a new shortblock.

What you actually need to do is the exact opposite...ride in a car with about 150 whp. Better yet, drive one...for a while. Then hop back in your car and it will feel like to you have 800 whp

The real economical/long term solution is to buy a super slow DD (which will be cheaper than a motor + turbo) and only drive the STI occasionally.

i have a 20g and E85 in my WRX but I am getting ready for an engine build so I won't be driving it to the meet today. Maybe in a few weeks.

 

lol I drive around my gf's Prius C whenever we go out so I always enjoy getting back in the STI. I don't mind the power that my car has now, but I just want a little more. I was even thinking about going Evo route with similar mods vs upgrading turbo. BUT I don't know I'll give myself a month or so to decide what I want to do.

This is a good suggestion. Driving a fast car every day makes you bored with whatever power level you are currently at haha. Also the higher power the more expensive maintenance is in general.

Yes, it is much different. Like 500-800rpm more lag before peak torque but it can hold it much longer so you don't fall flat by 5000rpm.
You will definitely need a built engine with a 20G IMO. Do it first so it doesn't break and get even more expensive.

 

There's that but just the thought of downtime right now is out of the picture haha. But alrighthy. I will give it a month or so to think it over.
