Winterfest @ Crosslake Jan 26-28

I've heard this is a dang good time. They have ice races too! Any of you going to this??

 

Ill be up there. My parents have a lake home up there and I planned on being up there next weekend anyways. w00t!

 

nice, i know a couple people that live on cross lake i will have to ask them about this.

 

My father in law lives in crosslake. I always thought this was a small town in the middle of nowhere. It seems funny that so many people have or know people that have a place up there. Don't think we will make it for this event though.

 

Have you been up there latley?? That town has blown up in the past 5 years.

 

how far is the drive from the cities?

 

About 3 hours from my house in Cottage Grove, which is southeast of the cities.

 

yeah I make it up a few times a year and have noticed how much it has changed. We stay in the woods for the most part unless were going out to eat or checking out the boat show. I think we had a change of plans it sounds like we will be going up for winterfest afterall.

 

if a few are you guys head up here we should all meet up sometime and have a little fun, i'm only about 30 minutes from crosslake. i have never actually gone to winterfest, sad but i used to hang out in crosslake alot when i was younger and this was never a big deal back then. but now the area's such a tourist trap its kinda crazy:laugh:

 

We should all get together for sure. My parents place is right across the street from the firestation, we can hang out there or meet up and any of the bars in town.

 

also if anyone wants to come up for this they could crash at my house if they didn't have a place to stay.

 

So who's all going this weekend?

 

Sounds like fun our cabin is closed for the winter, and I work, but I'd love to try ice fishing it. and I love Zorba's :yum:

 

Zorba's is pretty good, but Moonlight Bay pwns that place these days :yumyum:

We planned on it but heard the snow sucked and the ice races were still not confirmed so we made other plans this weekend.

yeah these ice races are full contact though, no windows, stuff like that, kinda like enduro setups.
