I bought a set of these last fall (as they where buy one get one free, looks like they still are). Have been about the best wipers out of the slew that I've tried.

I've been hearing mixed reviews on those from some family who recently tried them out. No problems with ice buildup when it was particularly nasty out? I've heard they're kind of difficult to 'snap' clean when they do get full of stuff.

    These.
They last longer than the Icons and are cheaper. The out of the box performance is less, but they keep that performance longer.

I'm on my 3rd set of OEM blades. Replacements under warranty FTW.

Bosch Icon. I think any of the spring blade options work great. The hard part is finding a brand with good rubber that lasts. Bosch holds up very well for a couple of years.

They've been good so far. Never found anything that works all the time, though. Those winter days were the roads are caked in grime still require lots of washer fluid..

I like bosch excel+ rubber, followed by rain-x rubber.

I find the frame-type blades work better, but the spring-type blades are better in the cold/sleet/snow. So i use frames in summer and springs in winter.

I've used a few others, including the top-dollar PIAA stuff, and frankly nothing else i've used comes close to bosch and rainx.

I have been running the Innovex blades. They work very well in rain, but are lacking in snow. Also you have to be very careful when you slap them down to break Ice off of them. I have bent mine in half twice doing that. they dont work nearly as well after they have been bent.

I just picked up a pair of Bosch frame style blades. Wow, what an improvement over the few years old junkers..!

This thread makes me LOL a little bit, my last car I went through a set close to every three months. I have owned the WRX since June 1st 07 and have yet to replace whatever were on it at the time, they just will not die! They have fallen apart multiple times and just continue to do what I need them to. I suggest those ones :)

Well, I just wasted 30 seconds of my life reading that comment. Usually posts on forums require details. You know (or maybe not?), like the make, model, and size.

I buy a new set of cheapies (like $3 per) every year and they work great from spring through fall, but I have yet to find a wiper that is at all acceptable in the winter, even brand new. And my experiences with Rain-X wipers have been very poor in all regards.

Mine has gone through rain, mud, dirt, sand, snow, ice...etc It's still working great. For best result it's best if you clean your windshield with a metal sponge. Then run the wipers for about 10mins, so that it'll wax your windshield.

You clean your windshield with something like this.

Then once you're done, let the wiper run for 5-10mins so that it'll add a layer of wax on your windshield. I'm surprised that it lasted this long, compared to the set of rainx wiper blades.

Ran a set of OEM subaru winter 'covered' blades last winter. They don't freeze up, but go any faster than like 40 and try to use them and good luck keeping the damn blade actually on the windshield.

Have a set of OEM summer blades on now, lasted about a year, pretty streaky now though. Probably gonna go with Bosch soon.
