Need to replace on our 03. Historically have bought Michelin when on sale at Costco. Recently bought a pair for the truck from factory motor parts for a lot more $$ and they have been fabulous. I have a pair saved in my amazon cart for the Subie. Preferences?
The FMP ones are RainX rebranded unless they have changed since I worked for one of the companies under their umbrella.
I've been using Bosch for several years now and seem to be plenty satisfied. Even found a few on clearance in my size last time I was at Fleet Farm. Before that I think I used the Rain X ones.
Funny, those cheap ones from Michelin (at Costco) are on my list of things to never buy again. I have never been disappointed with OEM blades. The most recent aftermarket ones I bought were the most expensive Rain-X ones that Walmart carries (it was 10:30 at night and I just drove 70 miles in the rain, in the dark, with worn out blades, so I was desperate) and I have been extremely pleased with them.
What I have found was to spend some good time on the glass and I use Turtle wax hybrid ceramic solutions. That works WAY better than rain-x and allows cheap wipers to last a bit longer. It seems like the road salt/chemicals destroy the rubber on the blades. I can make it all winter by treating the glass and still have the water bead up and roll off. The coating also works excellent on the paint, since that it what it is really made for. Super easy install and upkeep. Spray on, wipe off. https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Wax-5...d=1679609133&sprefix=turtle+wa,aps,114&sr=8-5
I've just started using this Turtle Wax product too. I bought a bottle of this and one of Griot's Garage product. I have found both to work equally well. Easy to apply, you can get it on any and everything, paint, rubber, glass, chrome, textured-black-plastic trim, your armpits, butt plug...you name it. And sorry @silver03 , I haven't had a Subaru since 2016, but the last OEM wipers I bought for the Infiniti were about $21 per, but I really do think they are a superior product. Plus if the car manufacturer had any little aero bits built into the design to keep the blade stuck down to the glass at high speeds, the OEM blade will have them whereas the aftermarket probably doesn't. The Rain-X Silicone Endura blades for the Ford were in the high $20s each at Walmart.
Turtle Wax's carpet cleaner is the best hand cleaner out there. Spray on hands, rub vigorously (daddy), wipe off with towel.
I will be down there at some point again. Jeff has tires to install for me before spring...whenever that comes.
That's pretty accurate. Only the ones that are currently active (aka running...) get new wipers, tho. Haha.
Looks like you're done Christmas shopping for the family. I can hear the squeals of joy on Christmas morning already.
Hahaha. The 2 smallest ones are for the boy. I'm sure he'll be thrilled to see them poking out of his stocking.
I would think that getting wiper blades for Christmas as a car guy would be like getting socks when you were 8 years old?
Not gonna lie, 2 weeks ago when I had salty streaky sh!t all over my windshield I would've been stoked for wiper blades as a Christmas present. Haha. Didn't wanna wait that long, tho. And I love me some new socks nowadays. Haha.
