Alright looking for some input on wiring. I am using an 06 STI power/bulkhead harness in a different application and cannot get my outside temp display to work correctly. I have removed most of the auto A/C control wiring from the harness as I will be using a different manual HVAC system. I do not have, nor will I be using the auto a/c control module.

As it stands now it will read either ~ "45*F" (this was when it was 70+ out) or "----". I have confirmed continuity from the sensor to the cluster connector. I have tested the sensor and it is within spec. I believe my issue is a wire between the cluster and auto a/c module. The Yellow/Black wire outlined in red below:

My first question is what signal does this wire provide to/from the cluster? I'm guessing it is a 5v power from the auto A/C module to cluster but have no way to test or confirm it. I have been unable to find any diagrams showing the pin signals/functions for the module.

Also the yellow highlighted wire (Black/Blue) appears to be a ground for the module. I show ground continuity on pin 2 of the ambient sensor confirming it is getting ground through the cluster via B36-5 and B36-6. Is there any reason to ground B283-17 independently or should can I just leave it disconnected?

    Thanks!
