i've heard that buy backs are approximately 1/3 the value of the car at the time of the accident, even if the car is totalled and crushed into the size of a tv.

I'm sorry to hear of that, Lue. I hope you're not too angry at yourself. Take care of yourself. I hope insurance gets you another Impreza.

fuji doesnt even know about it, he's not in town....=D...Being that i MIGHT get enough $$$ back from the insurance to be able to cash another RS, i will be keeping all the upgraded stuff and what ever that's left will be up for grabs.

    That sucks.

I totalled my 1st STi last November. Same thing head on. They gave me $28K for it, paid $24.5. The buy back was 7K. I thought about it but the engine was pushed back. I did take off my Cusco sways and my armrest, lol. Didn't want to buy another one. My ins co. didn't notice.

Following me into a corner? Hey.....it's just a 'wagon' ;)

    hahahaha I agree with you

huh? I just heard....but there's not really anything on the car that would want.... I have a different project

    hey....no vulturing on my parts!!
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BUT ANYWAY!! Glad to hear that you're alright! Because 60mph head-on, which I know he braked some too but it's probably like a 40-50mph hit anyway...... it's a hard hit.

Hurry and pick up a WAGON!!
I have no PARTS on this car picked out at all, and I won't take any parts from this car.

^^ AH HAH HA HAH HA! not bragging, ut i guess since i drive an evo, i have taken the cloverleaf from 35e going 36westboud at about 80 before, no problem. going uphill/upramp would be easier because gravity would be on my side. that's farking funny about fuji spinning out on the same ramp. maybe it's the curse of the imprezas.

same clover ramp? I knew my mistake.....in too fast and I wasn't even in a lower gear to have power to pull myself out of the drift. Besides, it was too fast for that corner and it was the clover ramp that is about 2 miles east of that one you has your little swerve incident.

    Next time avoid swerving! ;)

hmm with a little after thought prolly would have been cheaper to hit the deer then to swerve. but its already happened.

so fuji are you gonna end your tranny collection at 3?

yes, no more trannies unless I need it, but I have a FWD tranny for temp use so it'll be just fine. I'll be rebulding my L tranny with MRT dog gears and LSDs.

it was cool meeting you at firestone on sat, sucks about your car, at least your getting another right away.

well, there is a chance that they will FIX MY CAR! hehe......i really hope that they just fix it instead. that means new motor, radiator, and front end. If not i get big check and go cash me another. My dad also told me that the full coverage on my car actually covers my performance parts, so they might not let me strip the parts and just take the car away and just pay me the value of the performance parts.

that's a bummer! i wouldn't have said a thing about the performance parts because that's why your insurance is so much higher!

Well, I guess most of them are retarded, then...hmm, now that I think of it, yes they are! You can get insurance to cover aftermarket accessories such as stereo systems and interior uprgades, etc... It will cost a bit more, but I would rather they replace damaged parts with what you had than to replace them with factory parts. Of course, the level of modification and investment need to be considered, to ensure you are actually doing yourself a favor.
