A friend of mine who has a modded WRX wanted to do a little street race. He happens to post on this board a bit but will remain anonymous. Nothing real instense. Just a second gear roll on from 20mph.
I let him do the 3 honk and we were off. My 335i ( minor ECU upgrade) instantly surged ahead and by the time we shut things down I was ahead by about 3 car lengths....:) Tough day for the Suby as I have been told they are the word's best cars. He said "it has STI like performance" so I feel pretty good! Anyway, keep it safe!

Street racing is not cool nor condoned. I'd rather not hear about you endangering yourself and others. Don't do it. You do realize cops frequent alot of local boards. Not smart.

Thanks for the compliment. Hey, it was the MNSubaru member that wanted to do the roll on. I was pretty sure I was going to win but he was really wanted to do it so I obliged him.
I am no big street racer myself but going from 20-60mph sounded pretty safe. I swear, next time I get challenged by a subie owner I will not take the bait. I am sure all the mods WRX owners lust after are used for COMPLETELY LEGAL driving. Never anything the least bit risky. Rubber side down, Busalover.

Don't really care its just lame imo to log into a forum to say your car was faster than a car that cost half as much and has much less power.

put you on a real track with a real WRX you can actually verify how fast it is and i'll find you a few ways to lose to a WRX. Until then have fun nick hoganing it and throwing around safety slogans.

Nick Hoganing! That's funny! Maybe my car wasn't faster and it was a "Drivers race"? Gosh, I never said Subies suck....The UNNAMED MNSUBARU member said I shouldn't bring this up....man, he was right. Lots of safety gurus here for sure...[/quote]

    Welcome to the site.

Yeah, we get a bit brash when people come on and their first posts...
    talk about racing
    ask about bov's or mbc's
    have bad spelling
    talk smack
    brag
    offend people
    etc
    etc
    etc

you just fell into one or more of those categories.

    we'll play nice moving forward
