Because it's the only decent wagon I can find in my price range that isn't on the coasts. I would way prefer an 5 spd
Wrb is so... Fanboy, but there's always a 6speed swap if you really want a manual but can't wait for a car to pop up.
I can I was trying to get an opinion on the automatic since i see a fair amount of them. Any plans for you wagon in the near future?
If you mean plans to sell, find me an affordable hawkeye Sti... Then I'll think about it. Otherwise no, I've got to start saving money for bigger jumps. Like building the motor, or 6speed swap, or moving out of my dads spare room. But anyway, if you get an auto and don't want to fork out buku bucks on a 6speed and I ever get my fingers on a cheapish 6 speed, I'll give you my 5 speed realll cheap. You'd be going essentially backwards transmission wise though..
Lol ahh not really anything power for a while. Maybe some suspension stuff, maybe some wider wheels. I just did fmic, walbro fuel pump, an H brace and e85 tune last weekend... I better wait to do more lol
Within blue book surprisingly. It popped up on Craigslist at a dealership on a Sunday at like 1130am and I pretty much bought it by 2pm. Yes dealerships can show cars on Sundays, you just can't take delivery.
About 10-15 minutes from my girlfriends. So nope. But let me tell ya, these cars are a bore to drive in stock form.
Stock, too quiet, stock tune allows for no fun.. I wouldn't know too much more because I only left it stock for about 20 hours of ownership
I do agree that they should be modified. What's the point of getting such a mod friendly platform without mods?
I saw that top one. I'm debating getting it. I'm going to have a talk with my dad who is very experienced getting nice cars a young age. When he was around my age bought a brand new 260z.
http://desmoines.craigslist.org/cto/4478898929.html How do feel about this one. Seems a little high in mileage for my liking.
And rallyarmour... It's been done. I'd seriously recommend rokblokz to anyone buying mudflaps, they aren't all floppy like RA
Yes. Rokblokz is a small company with an excellent product, I support them. Small from what I've heard anyways.. I'm probably wrong
http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/cto/4502387483.html If you want to dump 5 ish grand into a motor build I would go this route
This thread is ridiculous. What is actual budget? Don't waste your time with clapped out turbo subarus with 100k+ miles for $12k+...you are just asking for a blown motor and/or transmission unless you are very careful and lucky. I have a friend who just bought an unmodified 05 wrx that had lots of maintenance records and appeared to be well taken care of and 2 months later he spun a bearing and threw a rod. What are your top priorities for this car? Reliable? Awd? "sporty"? If you don't care about "fast" get a newer NA impreza or something with a warranty.
100 % agree nhibbs. Not to bash the OP, but its been how many months already since you've starting conducting a search for a car you've wanted... If you can expand your budget, or find one that is still reasonably under warranty then go with that. At least your ass will be covered if something goes wrong then and you aren't taking a lighter to your money. I would just hate to see you purchasing something and ending up with a lemon.
No harm done. I understand that the WTB page has been had this post up top for a while. I'm just trying not get a lemon too. Thanks guys
I found that out after I found out what I wanted but I think i'm all good on what I need to look for. Mods can lock up
