Considering the dark green color of my beastly wagon (as seen below) and the fact that I've already got one grenade inside of it acting as a shift knob (also seen below), I feel like it's really only appropriate that the next step would be to mount a Ma Deuce on the roof rack. With that said, I'm looking to buy at least one Ma Deuce. Would consider multiples if you've got 'em and are looking to clean house with a package deal. Prefer a functional one but would consider settling for a non-functional, prop style unit. Tripod not necessary as I'll have to figure out a way to mount it to the existing roof rack anyways. I also received a second, more complete hand grenade as a gift from my M-I-L this past week, so really need to get this thing rolling to complete the theme.
So if someone cuts you off in traffic and you shake the grenade at them, would that be considered "brandishing"?
Good luck on that, considering to get a fully functioning one, have to find a class 3 arms dealer, and iirc, you have to have said license yourself. Good luck!
I'm really not set on the Ma Deuce, it's just cool to say. I wouldn't mind the nose gun from an A-10 Warthog, although that'd probably be longer than the whole car. Oh well.
Haha, considering the GAU-8 Avenger is bigger than a VW Bug, I think you'd have to modify your chassis a wee bit
I'm assuming when they put that thing in a plane they're like "Alright, we built this bad ass gun. Now we want to be able to shoot it in the sky. Somebody build a plane around this thing."
Sooooooo...is your plan to take this out on public highways or just drink beer and drive it around on the plantation and shoot $h!t for fun?
Actually you are 100% correct. They did start with the gun and built the plane around it. Titanium bathtub for the pilot, and was designed to take on HEAVY fire and still be able to fly home. There have been accounts of A10's flying home with one engine going and missing half their wings. Congress tried killing the A10 a couple of years ago and the outcry from the military was so much that they scratched that idea. Ground troops call them angels in the sky, and it is the BEST CAS (close air support) that the military has to offer, or has offered in the last 40 years.
That's pretty awesome. You ever heard the story behind the book "A Higher Call"? You should check it out.
One of my buddies who is super big into planes said that the reason for two engines was because when the cannon was firing, it produced too much thrust that the plane would actually stall? He also said that if the gun was pointed reverse you could fly based of the thrust provided by the cannon?
