Well I bought Robs old rallyx car a 1995 rusty but trusty Impreza (see pics below). I also got this winter a 2006 legacy gt (see pics below). The impreza I would like to give it a "ylime" paint job just not sure on the color shceme yet..(any ideas?). As for the legacy I would like to go stage 2/minor suspension and call it day but money is tight right now. I will use this thread to update my "projects" ( I hope, may get forever lazy). Impreza which I will rallyxing in modified all wheel drive class. Mods atm by previous owner 00 RS coupe front seats, WRX springs, underdriven crank pulley, disconnected front sway, FWD/AWD switch wired into center console. legacygt, cleared out headights (and buffed by tangled), plasti dipped grill, tinted windows, debagged, and gold bbs wheels.
Congrats on the new addition Emmy poo! I say paint it Y-Lime Green so we'll be able to see you through the dust cloud in Cannon Falls.
You did say that this was your winter beater and what do some people do to there winter wheels, paint them funky colors.
You should do contrast. Green with lighter or darker green stripes? Just food for thought. I would like that the purple and green are way to far off.
Lol...paint it to match your forever lazy!? And flat purple may be tough Em. You may want to stick to a semi gloss or gloss.
Lol, that's doable too. It would probably run ya a $100+ for enough spraypaint. Maybe you should ask Sheen how many cans it took him to spraypaint the RSVX?
Matte Lime Green with Chalk Board Race Stripes/Rocker Stripes/Meatball so you can write in your race number and cool logos on the stripes.
Hmmm...well i'm not sure about plasti dip coverage in comparison to paint. But it took me two cans of green paint to do bovaddicts' spoiler on his Forester. Given, i was trying to do a good job, so it took alot of thin coats to prevent drips. Turned out nice tho!

do not do stripes like zubaz, too similar to my dazzle camo that's happening when I get back from Australia
What about old school early 90s splatter paint style? I had a mtn bike like that and it was dope diggity, it inspired me to paint my snowmobile in such a way.
I think I am really digging the chalk board idea. Might incorperate some flat purple and line green racing stripes somehow. but the idea to be able to wright my numbers in chalk on it (as long as its not raining) is a cool Idea. Splatter paint is also a fun idea and deff different.
Flat colors are extremely hard to clean, unless it's the flat vinyl over gloss paint. Do the whole car in paint and we could tape off some squares on the doors for the chalkboard paint/numbers. Or get a permanent number and we could just paint them on the doors.
Either way chalk board paint is cool, I was thinking you would just use it for the racing stripes and the 'meatball' Flat paint is hard to clean but I am guessing you won't care too much because RACECAR.
