Yokohama Advan A032r DOT track/summer tires 235/40/17

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to possibly go 18's, so these gotta go first. I ran these for one summer. They maybe have 6000 DD miles on them, never tracked. My car was also on stock suspension so the tires are evenly worn. These are super grippy and seam to be very popular with the BMW guys. Tires currently measure 4-4.5/32nds, new they are 6/32nds, and if you opt to shave them new they are typically taken down to 4/32nds anyways, so they are perfect for track tires as they sit. If you do use these for DD, they are pretty noisy, but great tires none the less.

how old are they?

 

I ran these summer of 2011 new on my 03 wagon, so they are technically 2 years old, but they've been individually bagged and kept in my basement. I ended up trading for an 11 wrx, so I wanted to wear the stock tires down first. Now I'm thinking 18's

 

only reason i ask is because they no longer make these tires and have already been replace by the a048, i could find when they discontinued them though it could have been very recently

Ya, not the best for DD, but if you want some fun sticky tires for auto-x these should do the trick.
