We've talked about this before and def. agreed after this crash that the cage will get some more work. update: went to urgent care and had x-rays. doc couldn't tell for sure, but agreed it didn't look like I cracked any ribs, just bruised the hell out of them. I have inflamation/lump 5 inches long my back. I guess ya pay to play believe it or not..I'm frickin excited for Ojibwe!!!
we need parts first lol. I'm really thinking we'll just do an 06/07 front with normal, non HID headlights
You've had, what 24 hours to source parts and you're not done yet? slacker! I don't care what we put on the front end as long as it goes down the road and passes tech inspection
wont most of the body panels buff out??? remember guys I am all over driving for work, if you need me to pick parts up let me know. I know I am down to owatonna and mankato this week!!
If you do, I highly recommend 55w HIDs in the H7 variety for a retrofit. I love love love mine. BTW - The girlfriend saw the video and her jaw dropped. "YOU KNOW THAT GUY?? Is he okay?" Glad to see you are. Dave - who cares about that baby?
I'm going to get 2 rear doors from bikerboy tomorrow (these we don't truly need but the price is too good to pass up). the rear dents can be popped out pretty easy, the main thing is finding fenders and hood. driver's front door would be nice too
Did you not think the crew had enough to do already:laugh: Looks like we will have plenty of help getting her ready for Bemidji. Can't beat that. Carl you know I will be there in spirit this week. The Tleg needs attention before the rallycross. I'll be back in full force next week for the repair parties.
I drove my dad's FXT around today and it suddenly dawned on me what I smashed my knee on (it's quite swollen and bruised) - steering column!
Holy cow, glad to hear that you guys both made it out relatively unscathed. I won't be of much help for doing bodywork unless someone can point me in the right direction, but if you need someone to turn wrenches, I could definitely help out this weekend.
Glad you boys were able to walk away safely. Hopefully Davey Jones is still just as dedicated as ever after this crash! LOL Good luck at the next rally guys!
still dedicated! There wasn't time to be scared...it was just to fast. It happened in a second, it was over in a second.
I just seen this photo...LOL Carl, it looks like you just got done taking a dump in your suit.
The roof scoop wasn't hurt at all, was it?? I'd be really interested to see the roll from an outside view...
It took some slight damage with a crack on the drivers side front. Otherwise it's fine...even with the roof geting mangled. The only outside footage we have is from the gopro camera that was mounted on the outside of the drivers door.
