Ziptie Rally's open class #171 STI of Carl Siegler and Dave Goodman is leaving May 31st for Wellsboro, PA and the Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally (STPR). Crew Chief Matt "Chux" Alexander will be supported by Martin Asao, Mike Rhode, and Andrew Browning (who is driving in the recce car from Massachusetts). About STPR Carl and Dave are one of the teams featured in the spectator guide - it can be downloaded below http://rally-america.com/VenueFiles/2010_STPR_2010 STPR Spectator Guide.pdf A strong entry list of regional open class cars means stiff competition for 171. Carl and Dave are coming off some very solid performances at 100AW and Nemadji Trail 1 and are currently 2nd in the Central Region Open Class standings and 3rd Overall. The team is looking forward to competing against some new teams and hopefully contesting another podium finish. Aiding them is new suspension provided by RS&SP and Rallispec. ya rly. but it's not what I ordered. RS&SP sent me the wrong version so we're on a lower spec set-up than what we should be for 1 or 2 events until they send the better struts out
Of note, the white OZ wheels in the pictures above actually originated with Rallispec also. I bought them off of Dave slightly bent (well 4 of them were slightly bent, the 5th was octagon-shaped). Then they went to Kelly, then Boomer?, then Carl. Old rally wheels never die, they just get passed around.
