Couple months ago I redid my starter and everything went down the drain. Here is the link to the old thread. A quick recap: The car drives and idles fine, but when i get in higher boost >10psi it starts to buck, choke, hesitate, etc... It was tuned 3 years ago via Bullwinkle on here. http://mnsubaru.com/threads/car-hiccups-chokes-at-higher-boost.37749/#post-629713 I finally had time to work on the car again and got some logs in. While logging i did notice my idle pressure was at about -10psi on romraiders while my gauge read -18ish. Maybe my pressure sensor is gone? Any help would be great. Thanks! plugs were changed beginning of 2011. MAF was just cleaned yesterday. Are things leaning towards plugs? anything noticeable with the manifold pressure, i pulled out one of my logs two years ago and the pressure was at -15psi compared to -10 now? That was also in AR though if elevation is different...
stock motors usually log about -10/-9 during idle in the ecu. it's not going to be -18/-20 like a boost gauge what afr? have you logged roughness cylinder 1/2/3/4 during pulls?
AFRs are about right. lowest at 20psi is about 11.o. I am actually about to log right now. Ill add the roughness in all cylinders and injector pulse widths along with fine knock learn. Thanks for the support so far.
Here is the log with the roughness in cyclinders...seems like i have some roughness at high rpms...plugs? or are the numbers normal? you guys see anything funny with the timing and injector pulses? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aqn6mAePYEKTdFJ0N1FMVkVGaXR0bEhJbkRmTkRjb1E
went ahead and did the plugs today. problem still persist. anyone notice anything with the injectors on the logs?
Logs look OK, nothing jumps out, doesn't appear to be the ECU causing the hesitation. If you do another log, try logging WG next time as well. MAF is jumping around at the top end a bit, but appears to be reading well. Move vote would be a leak (although you'd likely see a AFR issue from that) or fuel delivery issue. EDIT: Saw that second log. The roughness/misfire count for sure indicates plugs/coils or fuel related -- maybe fuel as it's showing up on multiple cylinders (or could be something more ominous).
