This is the last race of the season so come out and get dirty!! For those of you with a dirty side, come out and slide your car around in a dirt field around a technical course marked with cones. This is a great venue for beginner drivers as it is an open course with soft dirt and the safety stewards to do a great job at keeping the course smooth with good flowing lines. Come out, join the fun, and get sidewayz! WHAT IS RALLYCROSS? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SCCA_RallyCross WHO CAN COMPETE? Anyone with a driver’s license and a hard topped car that can pass tech inspection. The RSVX has new STi springs up front, another new wheel bearing, and the ball joint has been repacked with grease and fixt...so it's on!! Hopefully we get some metal welded on in front of the lower radiator hose in time to protect it from popping off again...and extra tires just in case we blow out moar beads! lol I want to get ALL of my runs in this time!!
Only 4 days left to sign-up! Lets get dirty one last time for the year! Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it due to work, but I think everyone can get by with one less ginger around.
registered and paid! Also... tires remounted from last time... I am hoping for lots of rain this week ;-)
Too soon after LSPR for me, plus picking up a parts car and going to the Ojibwe Forests Rally Chili-fest.
Last time I checked, there's a possiblity of rain tomorrow and snow (!) on Saturday. Could make for some messy fun! Hoping against hope that I'll get cut from work super early on Saturday.
4 hours left to register! Just picked up the gift certificates from Westside Volkswagen and Discount Tire and all I have to say is.. wow. They were really generous in their donations. Josh, any co-drivers? Be sure they register today.
Ugh... spent the last three hours digging Canon Falls dust out of the beads on my tires. Hoping they hold air tomorrow.
Sounds like it was a great time! 13 runs?! We normally are lucky to get even 8 runs. With this being the season closer, we are having the 2013 rallycross season planning meeting in less than a month, while fresh thoughts of getting sideways and smashing dirty cones is still fresh in our heads. We want everyone to come, members and non-members alike, to offer any and all input and suggestions for next year, and to maybe even become more involved in this growing, grass-roots motorsport.
