Co-worker told me about MNSubaru. Talked about events and a great community of Subaru owners - of which I have just joined the ranks. Just completed the break-in period for my base 2013 WRX 5-door. Now the fun begins.
I'm a member of mnfocus (I've had a focus before) and I have friends with mn hondas, so I just took a guess that there must be a mnsubaru.
I blame Josh. mostly because he's the one that told me to join. Then I did, and now you're all derp'd
one of the few from a mnsubaru sticker! saw it on my buddies car he actaully had no idea what it was from.(junk yard door) saw it researched it found it! easy as one, two, google
No idea what the junked car looked like. it was wrb the left passenger door with tint. I Beleive the sticker was pink. This was 2 summers ago that he had it so I'm guessing the member moved on after destroying there car.
Does your buddy live near Cottage Grove/Woodbury? Because there was this dumbass kid that lived around here with a WRB wrx. And I swear he couldn't drive for ****, and would hit pretty much every stationary object he could find. Plus he was a tool.
U Lol no up north here in duuuhhhluth and he Defeintly knows how to miss the stationary objects. Maybe the door came off this tools car thou!
I hope it did. Because since the first day we saw him and his car careening around town, I told my wife that I wish he'd get in an accident and put that car to rest.
My head gaskets are leaking (or it's the freeze plugs) and I was looking for a reliable person who knows Subaru's as well as my previous mechanic in Portland who rebuilt the car I currently have (1988 DL). That search brought me to this site so any referrals you may have would be great!!
welcome. ea82 motor? not too many local shops that specialize in non ej motors. You could try david wray auto
http://mnsubaru.com/reviews/david-wray-automotive-inc.41201/ The Wrays have alot of experience. And Dave has been a Subie Tech for like 35-40 years.
Somebody on one of the forums pointed me this way back when I first got my Lezbaru. Or I found it myself. Can't remember......
Shorten told me, like most people on this forum he's even more friendly in person. I think he sold the car that I own now when it was new, and he put up with my stupidity, not that I am any more intellegent now than then.
Used to be on mnhondas all the time. Started getting into subarus so I googled mnsubaru and here I am today.
Googled "WRX for sale in MN" and the for sale section came up as an option. So I joined, and after 6 months of looking everywhere for the right one, my new baby was located here.
I was around MNSubaru back when it was a Yahoo email group. I started working at Brooklyn Park Subaru in April of 2002 in sales, I did that for a year and a half or so and then transferred back into parts. I was one of the people responsible for getting the MNSubaru parts/labor discount started, just my way of contributing back to you guys. I have been around these cars and the club for over a decade. Time flies when you're having fun, right? I drive a Ford now.
I joined because of zombie (my brother), he got me hooked on subaru when i road in his '02 bugeye with a sti swap. I needed a winter beater and knew I wanted a subaru so I picked up scotty's smashed up '02 wrx, rebuilt it on the cheap after picking up some science. I drove it awhile, slowly fixed things along the way, upgraded it a bit, then sold it to ofspunk7's sister in favor of something new/w more room. I then picked up the 02 wagon with a v7 sti swap and I am slowly working on that. I suppose I need to change the profile picture too since i no longer own the '02 bugeye. I plan on keeping the wagon til it rusts apart and most likely get something that's not a '02 when I replace it.
I heard about this site from a couple of sources within the same day. Starting with Morries in Minnetonka, then a buddy in my old car club referred me, then a guy at the hwy 10. st cloud O'Rielly's auto had a sticker on his outback.
Welcome! We need to change the poll options to allow you to vote for more than one option, lol. Make sure to hit the "Welcome Mat" section and tell us a little about you and your ride! (include pics please! of the car, lol)
Heard about it from a guy working the front desk at Grimmspeed when I as picking up a couple items. I am relatively new, just been to a couple Tuesday night meets at Old Chicago. I am also new to the Subaru world (~1.5 months) and to the world of manual transmissions as was evidenced by my 2 sweet mis-shifts leaving the lot at Old Chicago last night...right in front of everyone . F**k I need seat time, and probably a new clutch in a year..... Anyway, I'm glad I found the group, y'all are cool dudes.
I use to be pretty active on MNSC oh gosh.. like 6 years ago now? Back then it was brought up quite a few times and just stuck in the back of my head. When I finially bought my subaru this was the first place I registered for.
