I think I'm going to hit the tc auto show right after lunch. I started a thread to see if anyone wants to cruise with me from Mort's/Smashburger to the convention center: http://mnsubaru.com/threads/twin-cities-auto-show-cruise-after-sunday-drive-n-dine.38569/
Well, post it up in the other thread. We'll see what happens. I might try and heckle the MNGG folks into cruising with us too.
bumpenhoffen. Did you remember this is TODAY? I bet you forgot. You're lucky to have someone like me around to keep you on track for important events. Remember when you missed that one relative's funeral and were once again firmly relegated to being the family black sheep after you had to put that bitch back in her place for incessantly talking smack about your organization skills (I agree, she had it coming, you just don't say crap like that and expect nothing to happen)? Yeah... don't do that. Come out and cruise with us today (or we'll all talk smack behind your back and make you sit at the kiddy table for the next couple events)!
How can you forget most things now automatically switch. I have used my phone as a alarm clock for the last 10 years
Wow... what nice day for a mellow cruise. Great turn out today, hope everyone had a good time. You missed out if you didn't grab any bakery from Mort's on your way out.
I woke up less than an hour before the meet up, felt like crap, and didn't sleep well. Maybe next time.
I had no idea about this but dynapar, mlgez and myself ran into all of you as you were leaving as we were going to chipotle
I am amazed how well Smashburger handled that many people walking in all at once! They had a shocked look on their faces when we walked in, but the food seemed to come out pretty quickly. Here's a link to some photos I took while we were waiting at MAP. http://mnsubaru.com/threads/mnsubaru-smashburger-drive-n-dine-photos.38622/
To be fair, they are basically a fast food joint. *** Reminder: That was the last burger-themed cruise. We're voting on the next theme over here, poll closing next Sunday! *** http://mnsubaru.com/threads/poll-theme-for-the-monthly-dine-and-drive-closing-sunday-3-12-12.38397/
I'm just glad that I ordered the order takers favorite burger, I think she was more excited then I was
The third party won the vote but we are demanding a recount... well NO but we are possibly cancle/rescheduling the 4/8/12 cruise being that it's Easter... Who's in for the weekend after??? and we are taking sugestions on places that serve bacon and bacon only... F-ing 3rd party.

Pretty sure all of it is wrapped up in food cost for that event, startup money for new swag, and upfront costs for upcoming events (venue rental and such). Or was that some sort of passive aggressive poke?
Russ does a TON for this forum behind the scenes. To imply that he's holding money from 1 event for personal use is in poor taste imho. I know most of the mods and contributing members past and present have also fronted hundreds of dollars for both successful and unsuccessful events. Not me of course. **** all that! But yeah, it strikes a nerve when comments like that come out of the blue. If it speaks to the need for more transparency on behalf of event organizers and site administration, that's something that needs to be voiced in a more constructive way and certainly needs to be addressed.
F an A right you won't lol We just talked about this last Friday at Firestone....If only everyone knew....thanks to those that deal with the money end...just glad its not me
One of the biggest reasons I haven't organized another winter driving/frozen lake car control clinic is because the up front cost is over $1000. Historically, pre-paid events rarely generate enough money to cover costs. It just makes more sense to partner with existing clubs or forward members to existing events. Add to that the indecisive, last second factor.... anyway, I hope one day mns will have a reasonable amount of reserve money.
We were chatting about this last night and I think we should move this either to Saturday or push one more week due to the rally cross. Thoughts? Also, we're looking at Keys in WBL, starting somewhere in southeast metro and snaking up the St. Croix on the way to WBL.
