Seriously though, these are pretty tame cruises. More interesting road trumps less law enforcement given intended speeds.
I'm working on putting together a few months worth of drive n' dine routes starting next month. I'm ditching the theme idea and just going for good eats with decent routes.
Do not stir **** in this thread. Take note that people seem to be getting pissed at you every time you post yet get along with each other just fine. Lurk for a while until you can figure out why. Any further conversation in this thread about Stuck686 being a tool, or Stuck686 actually being a tool will result in points assigned to the poster, likely with at least a short term ban.
So what is the plan for the next event? Do you need any help spit balling ideas for roads and or restaurants?
I have Sunday carved out to workup the first batch of routes and destinations. Suggestions are always welcome. I will be sticking with the second Sunday of the month barring conflicts on any given month. Do you have one in mind? There are some nice Sunday buffets in WI that I'd love to hit.
I've always liked finding small-town MN/WI bars and there are usually some good country roads around them. I don't have any in mind, but maybe someone could chime in with some.
http://mnsubaru.com/threads/mnsubaru-pho-tour.40821/ Sorry I'm dragging my feet. I have a slew of possible locations worked up. I just have to pick some and stop worrying about whether people will like it/be willing drive/think it's too expensive/whatever.
I'm going to cop out and do Lions Tap again. Someone mentioned wanting to do it again and frankly, it sounds really good. Meeting point will be the parking lot we used a couple times for Cars & Coffee. It's right behind the Perkins on the northwest corner of the 494 and France exit. Meeting time will be 12:00pm. We'll do a 30-45 minute'ish cruise from there. I'm going to chat with whoever shows up to gauge interest in destinations/formats/etc for the next couple Drive n' Dine events. I have a handful of possibilities but I need to test the water a bit and see who's going to show up to the winter events.
Way to be creative...not! Haha I'm jk, I had a good time on that cruise last year, and those back roads out there are always fun. As long as I'm available the day we pick, I'm in! (weekends of December 1st and 29th are def out for me at this point.)
Great cruise mediocre food. I'd go again since last time we had a huge crew, in hopes that our food was that way because of the volume of people. Man I want some Blue Door now......
^Man...you're the first person that i've heard say that they didn't like Lions Tap burgers. No worries, we still love joo! I will not be able to make it unless it's a Saturday...or after 1pm on Sunday, as i have a class at church from 11am-1pm every week. Man, now my mouth is watering for a LT burger!
