Black Friday morning sales got the price down enough on RSD. It was close enough to the GT-Spec brand one, although it probably would have been nicer to stick with leather.

Today, my car helped the city plow some snow.

Same one I've been drooling over too. Someday, just not for a while. I'm already in deep **** with the wife over all the packages that have shown up since I deployed (see my build thread for details).

Well.. what I did last night... the pic says it all. Thawed out my car and found this gem. Anybody else have this issue? Lol. Third bird in about a year and half. Thought about buying the insert but I don't like the look

That bird is way in there. Don't they usually end up on the IC?

Yea they usually get stuck right above the ic, that's where the other two went, but this one musta bounced forward or something and pinned into the corner of the scoop

I brought my car to Morrie's Subaru to have them install the gates tb kit. I also had a little oil leaking from the
bottom of my timing belt cover, figured cam seal or oil pump. Turned out to be 2 seals on the oil pump and
they found that the thermostat gasket was leaking as well. Good thing I have an extended warranty.
Grand total after the warranty and with timing belt install, $165! It saved me $720! Extended warranty and Morrie's ftw :bounce:

My Forester has been throwing the P0037 CEL with a flashing Cruise light this past week. So when I finally had the time to check, I found out that the rear O2 sensor was damaged. It was likely hit by a chunk of ice on the road damaging one of the wires and denting the sensor.

Yeah, I ordered the shifter before the brake boot to make sure it was nice. It's pretty thick leather. Thick enough that popping all the plastic back into place took some patience. Overall good quality products for the $45 I spent, because there was no way I was paying for JDM Coachworks.

Finally upgraded the sounds in the wagon this weekend. Buddy and I put an Alpine deck in, some MTX 6.5's in the front doors, and an amp under the driver's seat (for the fronts). Sounds bad ass and can finally have the ipod in it. And the colors of the controls on the Alpine match the factory hvac knobs almost perfectly.

Now to upgrade that factory "subwoofer"...

First oil change at 4478 miles. Best part, the change and wash were free! I like the price of free.

I finally bought an unlimited car wash pass for Mega. This winter has just been too cold to get frequent washes.

Just retrieved it from RS with a shiny new clutch, flywheel, stainless steel brake lines (which also means bled for the first time), whiteline roll center kit, trimmed up rear diff guard so it doesn't rattle on my magnaflows anymore, bilsteins and swifts in place of the KWv3's for winter duty, and an overall clean bill of health on the engine.

Guess who has two thumbs and is pretty ****ing happy right now?

It has been brought to my attention that the next time I buy a new car, I should just go in on a group buy with myself on all the consumables. Not a bad idea... ;)

Took her in to visit Jeff Forss at his new location Golden Valley to get the new setup dialed in with a conservative winter alignment.

Not too damn shabby! Lots of room, nice counter to sit at and bug the crap out of him while he works, easy to get to.

Knocked out my first real commute on the racecomp bilstein's+swift combo. Holy hell this is a good setup... I haven't done anything resembling spirited driving yet. The ride quality just going down the road is excellent. Compliant but communicative. I'll still want to be on the KW's come spring, but this is not bad at all. I might see if I can find someone to trade my swifts for RCE black springs. The RCE's are minimal drop and progressive whereas the swifts are linear and most definitely should be considered a "lowering" spring.

If you are interested in rce yellows and want to swap the swifts out and onto my wrx come spring I'd do a even up trade. My wrx is making the transition to a winter only car and the rce yellows are just to hard for winter.

Brought the Subie to a diy car wash today. Pressure washed with warm water the wheel wells, rockers and as much of the under carriage as I could get. Holy **** it was satisfying seeing all the chunks of crap come off her! Someone must have been doing a little drifting in the snow :D

Mebbe. I'm not in a big hurry. If I do try to swap with someone it could happen any time over the summer since they'll be out of the car. I'll definitely keep this option in mind.
