Yesterday put in the GS hoodstruts and today a thorough cleaning inside and out! Hopefully spending some time cleaning the engine bay this week, and replacing the battery terminal connectors.

In keeping with my last post, finally got some free time to start fixing the deer hit as well. Boss and I hauled all of the goodies from the work shop to his home shop. Got the underside of the hood and backside of the fender painted tonight. Gonna start tearing down the car first thing tomorrow morning and will see how it goes. Ideally gonna have it finished and back together this weekend.

Tore down the car yesterday morning. Got the new pieces fitted and prep'd, repaired the left fender. Ended up getting 'er painted last night, was at the boss' place 'til almost 930 I think. Went back this morning for reassembly. Ended up rolling outta there around 5 this afternoon. Couple long days but she looks so much better than before. Way better than when we got it even.

Decided to tackle a p400 CEL in the Legacy. I think it is the EGR Vacuum Solenoid. I'll look at the CEL light for the replacement cost of $100.

I installed two new Philips Xtreme Vision headlight bulbs and a new battery. I can definitely tell a difference between these bulbs and the stock ones!
I also went to install new foglight bulbs, however, I am confused on how to do this. I ordered the H3 CPI Gold bulbs, (just the bulb) however, it looks like I need some sort of plastic housing/connector in order to install them? Below is a picture of the old bulb and connector piece, it seems to all be one piece. Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong?

Installed my cobb accessport v3 ( thanks to the NF crew!), installed my grimmspeed aos, installed my new battery and grimmspeed battery tie down, repainted tie down rods and bolts, installed my missing jdm size fog light and put on my GS license plate cover and sticker! Not bad for a Sunday night/Monday morning.

Would of changed the oil but I need a new oil pan. Getting really anxious to start my build but I think I need to drive it this week or so before the turbo upgrade and supporting mods.

I did this stuff last weekend on the STI, but anyway:

    -removed front control arms
-took to Jeff the Alignment guy to have the new Super Pro bushings installed...I got the caster adding version, but I'm re-thinking...seeing as I already have about 7 degrees of caster
-removed stock rear lower control arms
-installed new SPC rear lower control arms...camber adjustable!
-removed downpipe so I can get the wideband bung relocated
-pulled a stud out of the turbo
-discovered a cross-threaded (or create the problem) bolt for the intercooler bracket

    Still need to:
-figure out what bushings for front control arms and install
    -get DP fixed and installed
    -install new catback
-fix turbo stud and IC bolt/bracket
-re-attach wheels, drop on the ground, and drive it!

I also drove the Legacy this last weekend to Chicago and averaged over 30 mpg's on the way home. H6 FTW!

Possibly the seller of the aftermarket bulbs you ordered sent you the wrong ones or you ordered the wrong ones as yes it should come looking just like the stock bulb there is no adaptors to my knowledge

Did all of this from Friday till today since I've finally arrived back home. Got back on Wednesday but due to restrictions imposed by my command I was not allowed to drive my car for 48 hours; essentially equated to not driving until Saturday when I got my Texas Safety Inspection and made the car fully legal. Picked up the new license plates on Friday with the wife. Here's a pic of the pile of boxes that were waiting for me when I got home:

And now let the build commence. Started out slow with mods as I was just back (did these on Thursday and Friday while my wife was doing schoolwork); installed my JDM Hazard switch, the armrest extension and swapped out shift knobs for one that I won while I was away.

Swapped out my hood lift struts for the GrimmSpeed Hi-lift setup (very high, can barely reach the hood from the front) and swapped in the billet Aluminum oil cap.

Installed the ‘04/05 taillights and my new license plates on Saturday and the repainted fender braces on Sunday:

A comparison between stock and the Offensive Power fender braces: [IMG]

And installed (passenger side was already finished, pictures sucked worse than this one):

I decided to replace my stock exhaust tips. I'm okay with the rumble of the stock exhaust system, and I'm not really interested in more rumbles at this point. However, the stock tips have always seemed inadequate to me. So I visited Tim's Custom Exhaust in Coon Rapids and I am quite pleased with results. Tim and Todd were very helpful and I highly recommend them for your next project. Before and after images are shown below.

First oil change, Rotella T6 5W40 & OEM filter @ 3658 miles. Swapped out wheels and tires, summers are on now because winter retreated back to Canada. Wheels are Kosei 17x8" with 255/40/17 Hankook Ventus RS3. Took it for a quick spin: tons of grip now, difficult to break the back end loose unlike before with the winter tires on the OEM 18s.
