Got completely stuck in my neighborhood last night. RWD with summers on was very unfortunate. Took me 2 hours to dig a path to my house. I give Mother Nature two middle fingers for being a cruel mistress..

W/ a little fab work and a cut, it fits great.

that pic makes me want to throw on another pair of horns.

Conversion finally complete! Plasti dipped the whole car, threw some paint on the wiper arms to get them shiny black again and painted the horns yellow-orangeish

My brother rolled his truck over with the stuff on. And the only areas it came off is where the metal split. Stuff sticks pretty dang good.
They also have multiple colors at the lowes in stillwater. I bought enough from them they started stocking all kinds of stuff, purple and orange, red, white!

This is just temporary I'm going to bedline the whole car once I replace and redo the fenders. Fronts are dented and rears are rusted.
3 tone was too much of an eye sore

Switched over to summer wheels... And managed to break a wheel stud.. Looks like another little project to take care of this week. :censored::facepalm:

I will say that the 17s look like an even better fit now with the slight lowering from the Mach V springs. Now that I do like the black on black, it's time for some black lug nuts too...

Biannual CAI filter and MAF sensor cleaning. I'm always amazed at how dirty those things get and it usually restores 1 MPG or so. This time I notices a bit of motor oil that the filter was sitting in. No oil in my FMIC boost tubes so the filter must have soaked it up when some a** hat mechanic spilled oil when changing it.

I'm sure it happened when I was going to Bloomington Subaru because which is horrible. I'm sure it was them because after that last change I got there there was smoke billowing from my hood due to spilled oil on my exhaust. Now I go to Morrie's and love it.

I also ordered a StopTech brake upgrade kit and motul fluid. That combined with my RCE Yellows/ Bilstein that'll be coming shortly should make for a fun little AUTO X setup!!

Past few days actually, but I installed a TIC master cylinder brace, KartBoy pitch stop brace, PTP lava turbo blanket, Perrin heat shield, Defi LinkMeter BF oil pressure and boost gauge, and finished off with a roof vent and scoop. I'll get pics up later, have zero interest in touching the buggy flickr ap from my phone.

I'm not an expert in thermodynamics, but intuitively, one would not want to insulate the cold side/ front of a turbo so as to maximize heat dissipation. I could see coating the back/ hot side as being beneficial. Or is powder coating not thick/ insulating enough to make a difference?

You definitely dont want to coat a turbo (either side) with anything with an insulating factor...

It's not my turbo so I do what my buddy asked me to do. But no there is not much thermal changed from coating. There is some though. But like I said not my Part so get w.e the customer wants.

There is enough to decrease life of the turbo.

He wouldn't make money if he told his customer he shouldn't.

It's my buddy who knows just as much about cars as I do so I figure he has done enough research about it to either decide it's not a problem or its worth it. It's also a foglight mount setup so it will. Be getting plenty of fresh air I think to be ok.

Oh, and since I didn't add it yesterday: past few days, but I installed a PTP lava turbo blanket, Perrin turbo heat shield, KartBoy pitch stop, TIC master cylinder brace, Defi BF oil pressure and boost gauges, and last but not least roof vent and scoop.

    And yes, completely functional.
