Mine wasn't quite that awesome. Replaced the absolute sh!t right rear strut. Also threw in a Japanese butt lift as well (spacers). Thing looks much better now. Maybe too "high" for most people, but at least it's level. And the back tires aren't leaning in anymore.

A torch is a Minnesotan gearhead's best friend. Also, pb blaster, freeze off, air tools and breaker bars.

Nothing but rocks, no grass anywhere, hardly any trees and plenty of evil little plants called "goat-heads". Yeah, I'd rather not live there as much, lol, though there are plenty of desert "roads" to enjoy.

24mpg on E85. Tuned and tweaked by Yang at Devoted yesterday. Runs so much smoother now, hard to explain it but 24mpg on corn:eek: Stock on pump gas, it was getting 24.

Wasn't like that for much more than a week, I was going to wait till I rebuilt my wrx calipers but it was too awful. Metal on metal burns down hella fast, stoped that tire real good too. got it going sideways braking for a ramp switch. (because it pulled the right front tire to a dead stop on a right hand turn)
    Ordering up my retrofitsource kit.

Also did my first oil change on the car, rotella full synthetic. Holy crap the motor loves this stuff I couldn't believe how much more free it feels.

Cracked the outer plastic piece though :'( Oh well, no one's gonna be looking at my rear view mirror anyways.

Went from basically a short block out of the car to a running car this weekend. About 23 hrs of grinding.

The only hang up of the entire build was the stock turbo to intercooler hose was too short but thanks to mike at Grimmspeed with a spare hose that was the perfect size I got it up and running on Monday. I just have to finish up a few loose ends and bring it over to nuke for a final tune.

I'll do a total breakdown of my build this weekend if anyone is interested in me doing thread in the modification & maintenance area. I just can't wait to drive it finally!

Lol, I actually kind of dig that. Is it just some matte black paint or did you go with some sort of tinting paint?

My lightbar had braved two Minnesota winters and the rock chips in the powder coating had turned into rusty cancer so I decided to fix it.
I sanded it all down until there was no more rust or powder coat and then sprayed it with 3 coats of truck bed liner. I figured the bed liner would hold up better to rock chips since it is kind of rubbery and not brittle like powder coat.
It has some drips and isn't perfect but it came out great!

Adjusted my AGX's one setting stiffer. I left them at 2 (same as GR2s) when I installed them to get a good baseline feel and also because I read that a slightly softer damping is better for driving in snow since there's more suspension travel. No idea if there's any truth behind that though.

Also, bit the bullet and swapped over to Summer wheels/tires.

Dropped my car off at NF on Saturday for some work. Oil change, SS brake lines w/ flush, Defi boost and oil temp on SMY cluster, STI black badges and custom stage 2 93 tune.

    Love it!

Put new 5th door struts in, didn't even take 10 minutes including pulling off the interior pieces and putting them back. Popped off the brakes and realigned the hardware and it went back to making noise in 3 stops, ordered hardware waiting on it from colorado.
Cut my ac belt and pulled it out. Ah, silence.
