Nothing spectacular for me. Did the recommended 7500 service (oil change and rotated my tires) on my OB over the weekend. Adjusted the tire pressure while I was at it to the recommended levels just for kicks. Also got a car wash yesterday and might get another one today (SA Unlimited Wash pass ftw).

Looks like the plug wire color doesn't match the coil or manifold, lame :p Seriously I hope it works buddy! Did you end up making a plate to use the bottom 2 bolt holes?

Over the weekend did a few things. Installed JDM STI grill and headlights on my bugeye. Overall install was fairly easy just really time consuming to wire up the adjuster switch for the headlights. The headlights are a bit cloudy. I did a restoration kit on them which helped a little but not enough. May have to just order new lenses. I also got bored on labor day so a buddy and I painted our rims gold. More pics I took this weekend will be in the members rides section

Lady left the garage open and a gust of wind made a spare closet door fall on the trunk. Joy.

I used this kit from walmart. It was a three step wet sand with I believe 2000, 3000, and 5000 grit sandpaper and polish. Any sugestions on what I should try next? Mabe I should try one of the more expensive ones instead of just the cheapo walmart option.
    http://www.walmart.com/ip/Quixx-Headlight-Lens-Restore-Kit-and-Lens-Sealer/19801157#Item+Description

The kit also came with a headlight sealant that claims to be a UV sealer. The slight difference the kit made on the lights has been retained I believe. Its hard to tell since the difference was so slight to begin with.

I only use the Mothers or Mequires stuff. 4 stage wetsand and then hour or two of polishing. $20-25/kit

I would also recommend going to see Chris at Flawless Front Ends when you are done. Have him clear bra it instead of using a spray or whatever UV protection that you used. ;)

Wow the difference in those headlight are amazing! well done. Im going to try one of those kits this weekend and I will report back with my findings.

And thats not a bad idea to have Chris work his magic. For the high price these headlights still go for I might as well protect my investment once i get them cleared up.

    Thanks for the advice!

Get a cheap polisher and cut that polishing time down to 5 minutes.

New grill, silicon hoses and horns. Plugs and new vcg. The vcg's and plugs where easier than I thought they would be. Not without saying I did have to do the driver's side twice. Due to a or her of oil while filling her up.

Tried out some new-to-me headlights, but realized that they didn't have turn signals in them .
So stopped that game, and replaced my burned out bulb in my stock lamps with some of the Napa top end bulb... They are exactly what you'd expect unfortunately. I have had silver stars in for the lady couple years and tried the convenience route... Lesson learned.

I also replaced the corner marker lights that had burned out about 3 months ago with LED bulbs from sylvania. They look pretty good. It was easy to do when I had the headlamps out, but is there an easy way to change those little ones without taking out the lamp? Here is the difference between the two headlamps.

Last week i installed the Torgue Solutions Super Short Antenna and 3" Shift Extension. Having the shift knob up higher is very nice!! The oem antenna makes the car look like an rc car.

Yesterday i installed Whiteline 22MM sways and Kartboy end links. I saw the front end links were so far off, so after a run to the local hardware store, i stacked a bunch of washers to get the link to stand up straight. Man does it feel better now, turn in and response is killer.

I'm seriosuly thinking about getting the Nameless muffler deletes as well.

Fresh oil changed, T6 of course, on the wife's Forester. I also washed and waxed the Fozz and still have enough time to watch the Vikes crushed the Rams.

Matt, keep an eye on those end links. Without a support inside those bushings, the washers you have may push into the bushing. Been there done that with the Kartboy endlinks.
Also maybe double check part numbers, you shouldn't have to space those out like that.

I got the sways and end links used from a buddy. The rear end links came with spacers since the rear control arm has such a big space to fill. These were used, otherwise it wouldn't have worked back there.

The front links didn't come with spacers (well from rallysport at least). I asked them about this and they said they are only needed if the car is lowered. They sell these spacers for $5.

This happened with no washers yesterday. Backed out of the driveway and the sway bar slammed down and the bolts gauged the inside of the wheels. How is this even possible…..

Reinstalled (same way as yesterday) them today and after i added the washers, it worked. Took the car around a highway off ramp and it handles turns much better.

I don't think the washers will hurt the end links because they have metal sleeves, so the washer can't move anywhere. Unless you are talking about something else :)

Technically it was the day before yesterday, but I swapped out the reverse light switch the hard way (tranny still installed, just hanging on a jack, seems easier on a 5MT compared to the 6MT (side mounted switch vs. top mounted switch)), possibly the biggest PITA job I've done yet and that's comparing it to the oil pan and engine mount swaps with the engine still in the car. Took the opportunity to also swap out the shifter bushings for Kartboy ones (highly needed as the rear was severely dry-rotted) and the matching short throw shifter to accompany them; much nicer shifting now, though I think I may have had the factory STS in there based on the closeness in lengths, oh well, not pulling it out now.

Also, since half the exhaust was already pulled out to get to the tranny and drive-shaft, I finally installed the used Borla Hush setup I've had sitting around. Don't know how anyone can say it is quieter than stock though, this thing has a nice deep rumble to it now. I like it, don't how the neighbors will feel about it though. Wakey, wakey...... :coffee:

Matt - You probably have the 08-10 WRX front sway bar. Its ~1" shorter than the 08+STI/11+ WRX version.

    Hey Ben,

I have the original bags the WL sways came in and looked up the part #'s (BSF39Z, BSR49XZ), they say confirmed fitment on the 2014 STI.

It works now with the washers, should i be concerned?

Agreed, fit's just like the '08-10 RalliTek sways I had did. Never did bother hunting down an '11+ replacement though.

That's how the Kart Boy endlinks fit on my 09 WRX also. I didn't like them so swapped out for Rallitech in the front. If you are going to run the spacers (washers) I'd get something with a larger diameter, like size of the washers on the bolt head side.

Nice upgrades either way! I want to get a short throw sometime soon.

Wasn't today but Saturday I installed an Infinity basslink, that has been sitting on a shelf for about a year, into my car. After getting old wiring from the previous owner seemingly badass system. There were lots of speaker wire.... I routed new wire and got everything all powered up. Got ready to dance and nothing.:banghead:
Found out the amp is blown on it.

Anyone know where I can find a small sub with amp for cheap since everything else is ready to go?

Solid advice! I now know not to go with a cheap restoration kit. The meguiars kit worked amazingly. And was so easy I also ended up doing the head lights on my Camry and two of my roommates cars.
